I know week 1 isn't over yet, but you would be just as anxious in my position. If you post, please post your predictions, not many people did this for my Week 1 thread, and I feel that it will make the thread more fun to see picks. Here we go.

Minnesota Vikings@ Detroit Lions - Peterson and the Vikings will just run all over the Lions. Vikings: 28-13

Arizona Cardinals @ Jacksonville Jaguars - The Cards are looking for some redemption. They will pull out a W over the Jags. Cardinals: 27-17

Cincinnati Bengals @Green Bay Packers- The Packers are just too muchfor the Bengals to handle.Packers: 24-10

New England Patriots@ New York Jets - The Patriots will go in there and just outplay the Jets.Patriots: 30-21

Oakland Raiders @Kansas City Chiefs- If Cassel plays, which I think he will, the Chiefs should win.Chiefs: 17-14

Houston Texans @Tennessee Titans- The Titans will pull out the victory after a close game.Titans: 21-17

Carolina Panthers @Atlanta Falcons- After yesterday's game, get ready for a longs season in Carolina.Falcons: 27-17

St. Louis Rams @Washington Redskins- The Rams pulled the upset last year, it won't happen again.Redskins: 24-7

New Orleans Saints @Philadelphia Eagles- McNabb is hurt, but the Eagles will still win a much closer game.Eagles: 24-21

Tampa Bay Bucaneers @Buffalo Bills- Tampa Bay looked decent against the Cowboys, but I think the Bills will pull it out at home.Bills: 24-17

Seattle Seahawks@ San Francisco 49ers - The Seahawks will bring the 49ers back down to Earth.Seahawks: 28-20

Pittsburgh Steelers@ Chicago Bears - The Steelers' defense will just destroy Cutler.Steelers: 24-10

Baltimore Ravens @San Diego Chargers- The Chargers just looked bad. They have no chance against the Ravens if they play like that.Ravens: 27-17

Cleveland Browns @Denver Broncos- The Broncos will beat the Browns at home. I think this will be a close game.Broncos: 20-17

New York Giants @Dallas Cowboys- Great match-up. The Cowboys win their home opener in the new stadium.Cowboys: 21-17 GOTW

Indianapolis Colts@ Miami Dolphins - The Colts go to Miami and pull out a close victory.Colts: 13-10

On the season: 12-4

I think the Cowboys win in a close one (hopefully) and the Saints will win if their defense is better against the Eagles, than they were against the Lions.

I agree with everything except: the Seahawks over Niners (we're out to prove that we have a running game, and we'll do that against the Seahawks), and the Eagles over Saints (the Saints are going to destroy the Eagles).

How about we post our win-loss record as well? I'd also be up for like a cumulative score for points or upsets or whatever, I just don't know how to do it.Last week I was 12-4.

Vikings @ Lions-I'm not too impressed with the Vikes so far, they gave up 20 points against a bad Cleveland offense and struggled to score in the first half. Still, after getting run over by the Saints I'm not ready to give Detroit a win, but it's going to be closer than people think it will be. Stafford will settle in and throw a couple TD passes, but AP is going to kill yet again. Vikings 31-21.

Cardinals @ Jaguars-Can you say Superbowl hangover? I liked whatI saw from Jacksonville last week, and if the Niners can beat Arizona then so can the Jags. MJD is going to have a big game which is going to allow Garrard to have a solid game. On the other side, the Arizona running attack si going to go nowhere and Kurt Warner will continue to struggle. Jaguars 20-10. P.S. does this count as my upset? If it does, Arizona two weeks in a row? Maybe if they're favored all season I cna keep picking them to lose and kill with my upset picks.

Bengals @ Packers-I'd like to pick Cinci and I think I still could be wrong on this one, but I have to go with the Pack. I didn't like the way either team looked in their debut, sloppy play from both teams, but to not score a touchdown until the fourth quarter? Yikes. Packers 10-6.

Patriots @ Jets-I thought the New England D was supposed to be solid, at least in the secondary. I can't believe they gave up that many points to Buffalo. I think Sanchez has another great game, but so does Brady. Pats win a shootout with a field goal. Patriots 31-28.

Raiders @ Chiefs-I'm not impressed with the Chiefs D at all, and if the Raiders can hold the Chargers to 24 points they can do the same to KC. A second upset maybe? Raiders 27-24

Texans @ Titans-You can't run the ball against the Jets, you're not gonna run the ball against the Titans. Tennessee comes back in a big way and makes a statement. Titans 24-9.

Panthers @ Falcons-I'm not going to predict big deficits because I think Delhomme's going to have a better game. Better, not good. Ryan has another big game, but the Panthers at least stop the run. Falcons 24-14.

Rams @ Redskins-Settle in, Spags, it's gonna be a long ride. Two upsides, they don't get shut out and they give up fewer points, but they still lose. Redskins 23-10

Saints @ Eagles-Another week, another North/South match being called a close game of the week. So you picked off Delhomme a few times, want a cookie? I got news for ya Philly, Brees ain't no Delhomme. Actually, I was going to pick the Saints, but I just can't overlook the Lions scoring so many points on the N'Orleans D. B-West tears it up and makes up for the loss of McNabb, which is going to cost them points.Eagles 24-33. GOTW

Bucs @ Bills-I have no idea what to think of Buffalo. One minute I think they're headed to the top, the next to the bottom, then back to the top again. Arrrgh, Bills 24-10.

Seahawks @ Niners-The Hawks are going back to the top, baby! I think it's a close game, though, my sleeper of the week. Seahawks 21-17.

Steelers @ Bears-If there's one thing that didn't impress me about the Steelers it was the pass protection. I think it's a problem in this game. I also think Cutler takes a step forward, but that's not saying much. Forte gets held again, though. Pittsburgh wins what is a close defensive battle until the fourth quarter when they score a third touchdown. Pittsburgh 21-10.

Ravens @ Chargers-Before the season started I would have called this a defensive battle, but after seeing both teams give up points to the Raiders and Chiefs I'm going to say it's one of the high-scoring games of the week. Ravens 41-30.

Browns @ Broncos-Fact: Minnesota has a better offense than Denver. Fact: Minnesota has a better defense than Denver. Fact: McDaniels is not only an idiot, but a lucky idiot. The Cleveland D will have a nice showing against a soft O and generate some takeaways, Quinn will have a decent day, and the Browns will win. Browns 21-13.

Giants @ Cowboys-Dallas is better than I thought, but so is New York. I'm not impressed with the Dallas D, though, and i think Romo has a hard game under a good pass rush. Giants 24-17.

Colts @ Dolphins-Very unimpressive starts from these two teams, if you ask me. However I think Miami took the bigger step back. Colts D is stingy with points and the Wildcat hits a roadblock. Manning has a decent day, though. Colts 24-6

My Week 1 predictions were:

  1. PIT>TEN - I didn't feel like Tennesse was ready for the season yet.
  2. ATL>MIA - I already know that last year was a lucky year for Miami.
  3. BAL>KC - No Gonzalez AND no Cassel? Automatic loss, Chiefs...
  4. PHI>CAR - I was already in doubt of Delhomme's confidence after last playoff game.
  5. CIN>DEN - My first wrong prediction; really my only real upset prediction. I was so close...
  6. MIN>CLE - This one was obvious.
  7. HOU>NYJ - I admit, the Jets surprised me just as much as the Texans disappointed.
  8. IND>JAC - The Colts aren't as good as they used to be, but they aren't THAT bad.
  9. NO>DET - Another easy one.
  10. DAL>TB - I felt like Dallas wanted to prove themselves this game.
  11. SF>ARI - I'm a Niners fan, so it was really more of a hope than a prediction.
  12. NYG>WAS - The Redskins suck.
  13. SEA>STL - So do the Rams.
  14. GB>CHI - Didn't know Cutler would do so bad, but I had a feeling about the Packers.
  15. NE>BUF - Another wasy one.
  16. OAK>SD - I'm also a Raiders fan, so it was more a blind hope. But they got robbed!

That makes me: 13-3 so far (but none of you will believe me, since the games already happened).

My Week 2 predictions:

  1. ATL>CAR - Seriously, Delhomme's starting...
  2. WAS>STL - Battle of two teams trying to redeem themselves.
  3. ARI>JAC - The Cardinals found themselves at the end of the Niners game.
  4. OAK>KC - Will be close if Cassel plays.
  5. NYJ>NE - My upset prediction of the week.
  6. TEN>HOU - Houston will disappoint once again.
  7. NO>PHI - Garcia willmess up (even though I'm a fan of his), and Brees won't.
  8. GB>CIN - The Bengals will fight to the end.
  9. MIN>DET - A.P. Need I say more?
  10. TB>BUF - Another upset. If the Bucs WRS catch the ball, TB will win.
  11. SF>SEA - I'm biased, and will be the whole year.
  12. PIT>CHI- Two big name defensive players out, but PIT will prevail.
  13. DEN>CLE - Quinn will step his game up.
  14. SD>BAL - BIG GAME. I'd like to see this one.
  15. NYG>DAL - If Manning plays well, NYG will win.
  16. IND>MIA - It will be a high scoring affair.

I agree with the NE vs NYJ game being the upset of the week. The Patriots did NOT impress me at all. The last couple minutes, thats the Patriots everyone knows and they should have done that the whole game to Buffalo but could not deliver. The Jets stepped it up and I think Sanchez is going to be a stud rookie QB. He is getting confidence now, especially against a defense (Texans) that are a pretty solid defense (Not amazing but not bad either). Also, the Jets defenes, STELLER! Holding Texans to less than 200 total yards I believe and something like 38 rushing yards. I think the jets could very well take the Patriots.

Minnesota Vikings@ Detroit Lions - No contest.

Arizona Cardinals@ Jacksonville Jaguars - Jax is just terrible. The Cards will rebound from their week 1 loss, even if it was to SF.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Green Bay Packers - Packers will have this one by at least 10 points.

New England Patriots @ New York Jets - Tougher game to call than I thought it would be but I'll let the Jets be my ballsy pick of the week because their defense utterly dominanted last week while the Pats played poorly considering they were supposed to crush the Bills.

Oakland Raiders @ Kansas City Chiefs - Oakland has improved IMO and managed to put up a fight against San Diego so I'm giving this one to the Raiders.

Houston Texans @ Tennessee Titans- I simply see no reason why the Titans can't beat the Texans in Tennessee.

Carolina Panthers @ Atlanta Falcons - Carolina is having a QB crisis at inopportune times against tough opponents. Falcons got this one, especially at home.

St. Louis Rams @ Washington Redskins - St. Louis so far literally has no offense and the Redskins are better this year. Fourth in the NFC east doesn't mean you're terrible.

New Orleans Saints @ Philadelphia Eagles - Even without McNabb the Eagles defense is intact and will be able to make the big stops. It'll be a relatively close game.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Buffalo Bills - Tampa is going to be very bad this year. The Bills can definately handle them.

Seattle Seahawks@ San Fransisco 49ers - Seattle easily. Just a better all around team.

Pittsburgh Steelers@ Chicago Bears - Should be a fun game to watch. Both defenses are missing their hearts in Troy Polamalu and Brian Urlacher. In the end Pittsburgh grabs this one because of it's signifigantly better recieving core.

Baltimore Ravens @San Diego Chargers - Another close game to keep an eye on. Chargers will win a close one. Homefield advantage will play a big part.

Cleveland Browns @ Denver Broncos- Denver isn't incredible this year so far, but they're better than the Browns overall in my book. Advantage Broncos.

New York Giants @ Dallas Cowboys - Game of the week right here. The Cowboys looked good in week 1, but it wasn't much of a contest in a rather mismatched game. The Giants get the edge here and will spoil Dallas's stadium opening game.

Indianapolis Colts @ Miami Dolphins - Colts should have this one pretty easily. The Dolphins won't stop Peyton from having a big day.

Hey, I'm picking the Lions to upset. (seriously)

I live in Michigan about 10minutes away from Ford Field, and i can assure you the only way the Lions will win is if they sign an entirely new defensive/offensive line before sunday. When you have zero talent on the team its tough for any to show up. The only brightside is that the Lions will probably get the #1 pick in the draft again, and hopefully use it on something useful. 4-12 is the best they will do this year Best case scenario.

The way I look at it is if they win 4 games this year it has to be against somebody why not the vikes? I'm not overly impressed by minnissota anyway.

BTW, I live in New Haven (about 20 min north of downtown) and it looks like we will have to listen to the game on the radio this weekend. Unless your going to the game

I was 10 - 6 last week...not great, but not too bad.

This week :

Minnesota over Detriot - adrian peterson will continue his dominate running performances. I still think detriot might make this a close game.

Tennessee over Houston- titans gain redemption after tough week 1 loss.

Jacksonville over Arizona - Jags had a decent game against the colts, another solid effort and they'll put the nfc champs at 0 - 2.

New Orleans over Philedphia - Saints offence win in a high scoring game

Oakland over Kansas City - raiders bounce back from tough week 1 loss.

New England over New York Jets - patriots got lucky week 1, this will be a close game, but new england will win. It'll be interesting to see how sanchez handles the patriots defense

Green Bay over Cincinnati - no comment

Washington over St Louis - redskins defense destroys rams offense

Atlanta over Carolina - I expect a better effort from panthers, but they'll still come up short.

Buffalo over Tampa Bay - Bills should rebound at home.

Seattle over San Francisco - gonna be a close game, but seahawks win.

San Diego over Baltimore -

Cleveland over Denver -

Pittsburgh over Chicago

Dallas over New Yorks Giants

Indianapolis over Miami

I ran out of things to say for the last few games....

They stopped the Bucs running game? really? Williams had 97 yards, averaging 7.2 yards a carry and had a touchdown and Ward had 62 yards rushing, averaging 5.2 yards a carry and a touchdown.

I'm pretty sure Gunnerman was being sarcastic. He is a Giants fan (look @ his sig)... My predictions (only concerned about my division): Dallas Cowboys over NYG; WASH over STL; NO over PHILA

Well im looking at it from the fact that AP is the best RB on the planet atm, and the Lions let some waiver pick run for 148 yards on em. IF AP doesnt rush for 1000 yards that game alone i think it will be a good game for the Lions. Nahh i dont go to Lions games ever since you know who's gonna win before the game starts. Im a big Packers fan so i just fly to Lambeau if i wanna see an actual game.

They stopped the Bucs running game? really? Williams had 97 yards, averaging 7.2 yards a carry and had a touchdown and Ward had 62 yards rushing, averaging 5.2 yards a carry and a touchdown.
