I just heard this on PTI. I can't believe it. Byron Scott was coach of the year a few years ago. I don't think it's his fault the Hornets have been bad, is it?

But the Hornets are doing bad and struggling for awhile. It seems like the Hornets have no chemistry lately and with no passion. I don't understand what's going on there. Scott should'nt take the fall for this.

Thoughts?

I'm not sure what is wrong with the Hornets, but a change needed to be made.

Dumb move. Now the GM who decided to get rid of Chandler is the coach. They pretty much threw in the towel after 9 games.

It's not Byron Scott's fault that the Hornets don't have a competent swingman to take scoring pressure off West and CP3. It's also not his fault that they have no bench and our over the luxury tax and can't afford to spend. Byron Scott didn't create this mess and it's sad that he's taking the fall for it.

Can you believe that the GM is going to take over coacing? What a joke!

I can't wait to see Byron Scott get the last laugh when the GM finds himself even worse than the current situation!

I am not happy with my Hornets firing Byron Scott, I think if anyone needed to get fired it was the GM.

i read from somwhere that byron scott got arrogant with some guy by saying 'talk to me when u have a ring' it has left a bad impression of him, but the player should be at fault with their recent losing match, they werent playing too well

He is. He is clearly not happy with the whole team situation. He's actually coaching the team more than the head coach himself. And now he's injured. Yep, the Hornets are pretty much done. And that is sad.

Are you sure he said that? Aren't you referring to Rondo telling CP3 that he'll never get a ring which got him upset during a game? I think the rumor is that Byron Scott was cuddling and favoring CP3 too much over the rest of the team because they gotten pretty tight, which probably made them a little jealous. Some of the rumors was that they even played golf to the point of missing practice or being late to it. That's why ESPN is saying David West is glad Scott is gone while CP3 is ticked off. Coincidence? I think it's kind of like Joseph in the Bible where Jacob favored Joseph over the rest of his sons, which you know what happened afterwards.

The Hornets can't seem to get people to play consistently the past two years. Changing the coach doesn't make sense, yet it's all they can, and they're looking for some sort of change hoping it'll be a good change.

Amen, I agree with you completely. CP3 and Byron Scott had great chemistry and got fired for no reason. I wouldn't be surprised to see CP3 go haywire and ask for a trade.lol jk

I think he might. Have you noticed CP3 also wears NY Yankees a lot? Coincidence? He and LeBron? Okay, probably not but I don't think CP3 would want to hang around NO anymore.

Its the Hornets loss, but Scott will land on his feet somewhere and help another up and coming team. And people wonder why great college coaches hardly take jobs in the NBA, cause your ass could be fired within the first losing streak of the season.
