All I've ever been able to deduce is that "west coast offense" means there are some timing passes that may or may not emphasise passes to the edges of the field. Beyond that I've seen teams that use the "west coast offense" pass less often than teams that supposedly don't use it.... I think a lot of common knowledge football strategy is just some dumb commentators repeating what they've heard.
Anyway if you're going to pass either QB listed is plenty good.
Brady's already been in a variation of the West Coast offense
It's passing to control the ball like you would a running game. It's passes distributed East to West making linebackers and safeties have to work hard in coverage which opens up the middle and deep routs later in the game.
The Patriots are also built for the West Coast offense, the Colts aren't
