My vote goes to Aaron Harang. 13-3, 3.68era (better than Felix Hernandez and Carlos Zambrano), 2nd in the NL in K's (ahead of Brandon Web). Not to mention the fact that he didn't receive a single NL Cy-Young vote in 2006, despite leading in both innings pitched and strikeouts and being 4th in ERA (3.29).

Which player do you think doesn't get enough recognition?

I dont think people realize how great Tom Brady is. I dont look forward to the day that he is not a Patriot. Sure he gets recognition, but he is absolutely the best QB in the game by a landslide.

I'll admit, when I saw the name "Tom Brady" I thought that was a ridiculous claim. But I think you make a valid point, though Ialso believethere are many more athletes that are more under appreciated than he is.

Steven Jackson. Everyone who plays Fantasy Football knows him but most football fans would give you Tomlinson, Larry Johnson, Tiki Barber, Shaun Alexander as the great RBs of the past few seasons.

Even with his cy young last year, Webb of Arizona. In 2004, so many thought nothing much of him after his 7-16 W/L and walking over a 100. Guy keeps getting better.

Marvin is the epitome of an athlete that doesnt get recognition he deservesbecause he doesnt make an a$s of himself on or off the field, unlike some of the more popular recievers in the league. Good pick!

interesting you say ben gordon, i always thought he was a little overrated. but i do agree with michael redd. and back to the nfl, im gonna say terry glenn, my main man on the cowboys doesnt get a third of the credit he deserves because of being overshadowed by TOs dumb, most dropped catches in the league ass.

Current- larry johnson he had an explosive season last year of course nobody cared because of LT and grady sizemore dude this guy is like awsome he will probably win a gold glove and is one of the best outfielders to play the game today.
Ever- Stan Musial ever heard of him? of course not but he is a 20 time all-star in 22 MLB season 3 time MVP and 7th all time in slugging. Here are his most important stats
Doubles- 725 (3rd)

Triples- 175 (19th)

Homeruns- 475 (26th all time)

Hits- 3640 (4th alltime)

RBI- 1951 6th all time

AVG. 331
20-time allstar, 3 time NL MVP, and one of the 100 3000 (Hits-300 (homers)club members and one of the 8 3000- 400 members
Overall this guy is one of the top 15 baseball players ever

cmon now, ben gordon? dont get me wrong now i love him to death,im a bulls fan till i die, he's a huge piece of the bulls success but i think he gets the recognition/credit he deserves, maybe even a lil over cause of his inconsistency, but im sure he'll be a lot more consistent this coming season, but if your gonna pick a bull, its gotta be my boy, Luol Deng, not just picking from the bulls, but in sports overall, he's a true all star in the making whose fantastic on both ends of the court, extremely consistent, and goes out on the floor every single game of the season(actually just the recent season he played every game) with huge heart and passion for the game of basketball, and almost averaged a double-double 22.2ppg 8.7rpg this recent season and has yet to reach his prime, sorry if im ranting on a lil bit lol, im just a huge fan of luol deng and of course the Chi Bulls, but he really does not get the recognition/credit he deserves

NFL- Tory Holt. TO, Marvin Harrison and others get all the attention, but I'd take Tory Holt over any other receiever.

MLB- Alex Rios. Amazing athlete, one of the best hitters in the AL.

NHL- Patrice Bugeron. If this guy was on a team that actually knew how to play hockey he'd bea perennial all-star.

NBA- Anthony Parker. Former first round "bust" that went over to play in Israel, came to the Raptors last season and put up some great numbers. Plus he's a great defender and can make clutch shots to boot.

The Jays sportscasters were talking about him and Jeter one night and they said that defensively Johnny Mac is the better player. Of course the guy couldn't get a hit if his life depended on it.

Are you going to add something to the thread or just prove how clueless you really are?

slow down there Patriots fanboy, when did you become a patriots fan? WAAAAAAAAAAAY back in 2001? HAHA! Peyt manning has already surpassed all or most statistics of all-time leadings passers who ever existed (including montana, young, marino, etc). Statistically manning is better (except the stat about SB rings). it doesnt matter though ,they are both going into the hall anyways.

I've lived in New England for most of my life (I just moved to cali a couple months ago and I've been a Raider fan my whole life) and I must say pixles is right. People just don't understand how good Tom Brady really is. Tom Brady with no question is the best quarterback I have ever seen play the game. He doesn't have the monster stats but he does what a QB is supposed to do best and thats manage a game. I used to watch the Pats all season long (because I was pretty much forced to) and he does things that no other QB in this league does right now. Stats dont mean **** if you dont have any good recievers either. Ok for most of Brady's career he had mediocre recievers. Payton Manning on the other hand has had the best recieving cores in all of football plus a good running back to keep the passing game open. If Payton Manning had the offense Tom Brady had, Payton Manning wouldn't even be mentioned right now.

If anyone knows about football, theyre gonna say Tom Brady is the best QB in the league hands down with no question.

Come on are u kidding me its Definitely Fred Taylor of the Jaguars Over 9500 yards in 10 seasons he is rapidly approaching a pillar that only a few have reached and he has never even been to a Pro bowl or even mentioned in discussions of premiere backs in the league even though he is a staple in the Jaguars franchise!

I like those assessments, especially about Bergeron for the Bruins.
