My call is Yankees and Phillies again. I think the Phillies have especially established dominance in the NL going back to back with 2 NL pennants and a World Series win in 08'. The Yankees look like they'll be back IMO. After all they won 103 games and are the defending champions.

it all depends. The Yankees dont even have an official 3 4 5 starters because andy's contract is over. Also we wont have damon and matsui anymore or we might sign one of them we might sign both who knows I dont have any faith on Xavier Nady anymore

Predicting this right after the World Series ended is silly. At this point last year, the Yankees didn't even have CC Sabathia, AJ Burnett, Mark Teixiera, and some other key players that helped them win the WS -- a lot can change in the offseason.

Very true, but it's still fun to imagine.

I think Andy will be back but it's so tough knowing it's only likely that one of either Matsui or Damon will be resigned. At least they both had legendary moments in the World Series to be remembered.

If the Phillies get Roy Halladay... you could easily see a Yankees/Phillies rematch.

Who cares it's a year away? Of course the Yankees will be back, Jason Bay is on the market. I thought something was funny someone mentioned, if you're expected to win the WS every year then what's the celebration for? Aren't you just adequate?

Well gotta wait to see what happens during the offseason. If I had to make a prediction today i'd say probably the Yankees (unfourntley) vs. the Dodgers but as I said will see how the offseason goes. I want to see the Sox add Holiday, maybe make a trade

Yeah I still think the Jays not trading Halladay was a stupid move. If they traded him during the season his value is way higher, and unless the Jays really decide to go out and be agressive this offseason and make some moves to compete with the Sox and Yans I don't think he'll do them much good

Phils need a bullpen, but I will take a leap of faith and say: Yanks vs. Phils II

it is a little too early to tell, but if the Cardinals sign Matt Holliday (and he doesn't continue making game changing errors), and manage to have another great starting rotation, then they will be the NL team in the world series. As for AL: Angels

Really I think its too early to tell. I like to see all the roster moves and spring training before I make a pick.

Too early to call for the NL. Ask me again after the free agent season is finished.

For the AL, I am obligated to pick the Mariners.
