who's better out these two great running backs

I know, he'll have an even better career than LT.[QUOTE="flowersjf"][QUOTE="Espurs117"]
AP obviously but I doubt he will have the same career as LT, AP won't run this hard for long.
Espurs117
Yeah sure. AP is the same guy who got hurt while diving into the endzone at OU.
Yep and the same guy who rushed for 296 yards in a single game.[QUOTE="Espurs117"][QUOTE="flowersjf"] I know, he'll have an even better career than LT.flowersjf

True but Adrian Peterson will be like this for about 90% of his career IMO. If you don't like him then fine, we're all entitled to our own opinion. I'm not here to argue but I think AP is the best RB in the NFL. Please respect my opinion just like I respect yours.AP is the most skilled....but the over all better running back? is LT even though he doesnt put up the same stats....AP lost 9 fumbles last year....im sorry but that is way to many turnovers to be giving up as a running back.....so until AP gets the fundementals of the game down......LT>>>>>>>AP.......period.

He couldn't stay healthy in college I doubt he can do it in the NFL for long. I too think he is the best RB in the NFL right now, im just questioning for how long.

Peterson's career will not surpass LT's. LT was just incredible and he's still a top running back. Peterson won't have the same durability and longevity. But, to be fair, he did get his leg clipped by someone from Iowa State before the flip.True but Adrian Peterson will be like this for about 90% of his career IMO. oh ok, but since I'm a homegrown Vikings fan, I hope he can stay healthy as long as possible. At the moment Adrian Peterson is the better back in the NFL. However, LT will be remembered better for his career in the end.
AP even though LT is still solid. I hope AP can last but who knows especially with how injury prone he was at OU. I hope he stays healthy though because he is a stud!
Today, right now, AP... but LT is more proven and his career numbers are really good. AP has a ways to go before he is better then LT but its hard to compare these two, LT was the man while AP was still in college.

nyyrobinson
AP was the man in college, he dominated as a true freshman and then got hurt.
Based on last season, Peterson's better. I hope LT will get somewhat back to hiis best, like he was a couple of years ago. However, Peterson is still early on in his career, and should have a very successful one. LT can be argued to have been one of the best running backs in NFL history alongside Payton, Faulk, Sanders, etc.
You can't be the best relying only on speed (im lookin at you too, Hester)
So Peterson is obviously the better of the two.
