whats the worst sports predicition you ever heard someone make?

On the ESPN.com message boards some guy said UNC was going to get upset by Radford in the first round if Ty Lawson didn't play. :)

Past few years keep hearing from their fans about how the Braves were still going to win the NL East easily. Same from their fans about the Wash Redskins in the NFC East.

The guy NETYANKEAGLE orsomething like that said2 years ago on THIS FORUM said that shelly duncan would be the next David Ortiz. He even started a thread with the title "shelly duncan is the next david ortiz" I forgot who it was at first but then i remembered i could see all my posting history and i found it. That was hilarious. There's probably people on here that have never even heard of Duncan. I blasted him when he said it, and i'm still in shock 2 years later

The Bears were gona beat the Colts in the super bowl with Rex Grossman.lol

The Lakers would own the Celtics last year. :roll:MoonMarvel

This year : Oklahoma winning it all in the NCAA tournament (a friend) or Pittsburgh (Sport Illustrated).

Not extremely bad but still the worst I heard lately.

Well there's usually a reason for randomly hating teams, usually because there in the same division. But hating a team for no reason, that ain't right.LoseEagles1245

I don't know who anyof you guys are fans of in particular, but I love it when fans of teams that have yet to even play in a Super Bowl criticize Cowboys fans for bringing up their 5 wins. You're right, they haven't had much (any) playoff success in the last 10+ years. But, at least they have at some point in their history. And most of us actually are old enough to remember those times.

Some of the predictions I read aren't that bad.

They look bad afterwards, but most of them weren't bad choice before the game actually happened.

Like those picking the Lakers to win last year. It's not like they had no chance, they were favorited by a lot of people. Or the Suns a few years back, some people picked the to reach the conference finals. How on earth it's a bad prediction? They were first in the West or something like that... Or those who picked the Mavericks then they were6 67-15 then lost first round (that made me happy, honestly...). If your prediction doesn't happen, it's not necessarily bad. Look how many people pick Tiger Woods every single tournament, it's a wise choice, but he doesn't win every time.

Unless you picked the Nets to beat the Lakers in '02 or something like that.
