Best RPG series other than Final Fantasy

In Grandia, the 2nd one was the only good one especially the characters, and 3 was so extremely annoying and Grandia extreme was just plain s***, and incomplete too. 

I'm hesitant to say Xenosaga, because it wasn't that good and it was, in a way, one large game. ( i wish there was Xenogrears 2, damn i loved that game, even more than any FF.)

And i'm a Disgaea fan, even though it's a SRPG.

Star Ocean (i love the one lates one.)

Suikoden, especially 5. (tactics was surpridingly addictive too.)

Yea, kind of. It just revoleves around characters that are non-playable in the first one. I won't say anything else to spoil it. Ilike the second one a bit more, but i got stuck in it and never came back, it got really annoying with all of the puzzles, plus it plays just like the first one.

I would say the Tales of series, these games are awesome.

 Golden Sun was my first game on GBA and it's still my favorite. I have both Golden Sun games and you should try it, on Golden Sun 2, I have like 60 hours of play time, my team on level 99 even if it's really not necessary, I have all 72 djinns... well, my game is... perfect ^^

Like Cecil and Locke said, I think both Tales of... and Fire Emblem series are awesome! I just love Fire Emblem's precise strategy you havFiree to do in order for you to not lose permanently your troops...michelle_moraes

It's great. If you played the others, it's a good conclusion for the series.

Personally I also really enjoy the Breath of Fire games. Also the Knights of the Old Republic was a excellent change up for an RPG series.langrisser2005

Breath of Fire is another classic. I love the first three, the second being my favorite BoF. The soundtrack was also amazing!

I loved the story(I've never played Xenogears) and I like the half-villan(Albedo is as crazy as Kefka, and I think he accomplished his plan, even if it was a minor step to the big plan of Wilhelm). The characters are really cool(especially Jr.), and the gamplay takes turn-base and creates a new thing.

You should check it out. The part that made Albedo a little crazier than Kefka is

[spoiler] when he cut off his arm while laughing about it in front of MOMO. He can regenerate his body parts quickly, so he can do that anytime. [/spoiler]

I like Shadow Hearts too! My favorite is the third one; the game and its characters are just hilarious! Frank is awesome!
