I liked battling Sephiroth but he was too easy. If you have Knights of the Round and everyone is basically at lvl 99, it's frickin' easy.
I know it's not a FF game but my all-time favorite final boss was the Ultimate Being from Shadow Hearts. He was the perfect creature because he was a challenge, but not freakin' impossible. I bet a spent an hour fighting him.
Ultimecia (FFVIII). Of course, Sephiroth is a great villain, but You can't help to feel with him because of his past.
Ultimecia, on the other hand, is a character who is introduced relatively late in the game, and her abilities, her castle, and the fact that you fight her in the far away future just makes her the most frightening villain, and the best, in my opinion
Kefka is definitely the best end boss. He also has the best music, and for those who have never played FFVI and think that Sephiroth was cool / had cool music, you are really missing out.
I cant remember his name because it was like five years ago and he wasn't very memorable but the thing garland changed into on ff1 because he was a good fight fun but slightly challenging :D
I almost posted that, too! yeah at the end of FFI you fight Chaos, and he is pretty cool as far as villains go, but ultimately there isn't enough character/story to make Chaos as memorable as Kefka or Sephiroth.
Who said Sephiroth was hard!?! You're all INSANE!!! I beat him on my first try without even breaking a sweat! The soundtrack is cool though...No, my fave boss has got to be Ultimicia (sorry if it's mis-spelt). She's the only final boss (that I've encountered) that really gave me a challenge. And what's with her having no face!?! It looks like something stuck her face in leaf blower while it was in reverse!!!
lol, i absolutely slaughtered ultimecia, beat all stages of her in like 20 minutes, i was actually hoping that griever would do his special move on me, lol
"One-Winged Angel" (Safer) Sephiroth (VII) is my favourite as in "cool!!"... True Ultimecia (FFVIII) for fighting against (nice battle theme and such)..

Wow thats a surprise... i beat her first time trying. At that time though i basically had 100 ultima junctioned to every characters strength stat so they where super solid.

At that time though i basically had 100 ultima junctioned to every characters strength stat so they where super solid. lol.......well my base team was squall zell and rinoa.........so I had to use irvine who was at level 32!!!..........and I had to try over and over just attacking with squalls 2000 hit irvine givin everyone regen and zell doin triple with his dodgy magic skills :P
i was gonna go with Chaos form FF I as well, hey i guess i'm just too old school at times for my own good. as well as sephiroth, the music just puts him over the top with me. the one thing in common for me with those two is it took me for-frickin-ever to beat them.
