If you can make a Final Fantasy on one disk, what the point in having more than one disk.
The only reason there were more than 1 disks on the other FF's is because they couldn't hold all the information on one disk. But PS2 disks can hold more information and technology :)
ps2 discs hold more info than the ps1 discs. just look at umd movies they can fit a whole 2hr movie on that! it's the ever growing beast that is called technology! but one disc is ok just as they don't get stingy with anything
If each disc of Final Fantasy VII was completely full it would be 2100mb. So if a DVD can hold 8000mb you can fit FF VII almost four times on a DVD and that's if they didn't compress it anymore than it was. I'm sure a PS2 disk could easily hold FFVII-IX in one disk (hint, hint Square-Enix). Anyways what's the problem with only having one disk, it's better.
I have no problem with it being on one disk. I remember playing Final Fantasy when it was just the cartridge. How will it change? You have to give some consideration to technology. Data can be easily compressed and yet come out high quality. Would you be unhappy if the future Final Fantasy franchises come out with on a single disk?

Possibly it depends on how much I like the game. I just feel that a world map should have been added to the game. Also, I don't notice a difference in FFX graphics compared to some of the other PS2 games out there like driving, fighting, and other types of games. Back on the PS1 FF games had better graphics than your driving, fighting, and other games out there. I'm assuming that they didn't put in a world map because they didn't have enough space on one disc to do so. The graphics are good enough for me in FFX but I would still like to have a world map that you could travel on.
I'm hoping there is a world map you can travel on in FFXII.
As for beating nemesis and maxing out the sphere grid, who cares. SE put way to much effort into making your characters become that strong because its pointless. When you beat nemises you get some item and thats it. Its like they are trying to make numbers get as high as they can but it holds no value what so ever. Nemesis is like the only monster in the game that I can't beat and I'm not going to waste 20 or more hours of my life trying to beat him. I'm not saying I don't like a challenge because I liked what they did with Ruby, Emerald weapon, and the other monsters in FF8. I guess one disc is good enough but I still would like a world map that you could travel on in FF games. The length of the game isn't the problem, its what they are doing with the disc space.
