If the Wii controller is to be used for an FF game, i believe it would provide gamers with an exceptional gameplay experience. FFs are known to be RPGs, but, being able to make use of the whole motion sensing in the Wii controller for an RPG will be revolutionary on the whole RPG segment of the gaming industry.

For example, attacking as soon as the ATB bar is full [ if it still exists], an instant action can be carried out with the Wii controller, as if you're wielding the weapon yourself.

But, still, RPG elements has to continue "residing" in an FF. So, how is it possible for the producers to retain the original essence of Final Fantasy, and yet, create a revolutionary gameplay experience, with the Wii controller?

oh thats an easy one. well mostly keep the ATB bar thing. then when it is full, a menu will come up. while this is happening, you will be holding the controller like whatever your character's weapon is. for this to work, it would probably have to be like FFXII's battle system. so then, your thumb will be comfortably on the a button so you hit it on whatever command you want. to scroll down just take you thumb and go over the d-pad. then once you hit what you want, then the menu will disappear. with this, it means you are ready to attack. walk close to an enemy, and then BAM! swing you Wii controller and then run. or sit there and get attacked while waiting for the ATB bar to replenish. either way, it works. to move you can either use the d-pad, or use the control stick extra attachment. but with the control stick, you would only have one hand on your sword so then your attack might not be as strong. depending on how fast you swing the controller and what position you are against the enemy and if it is blocking or not will determine how much damage you inflict.

......That's actually really well thought out! I wouldn't mind playing FF like that.

But the only FF game coming out on it is a Crystal Chronicles game, so unless they change the fighting system.

There is a port where you can hook the gamecube controller into the Wii controller. I think a few games are still going to use the gamecube controller, I assume any Final Fantasy would do the same assuming it remained turn based.

No Nintendo FF games are turn based (Except the gameboy ports.)
