Is it just me or does it seem like the square side gets the most attention? I'd like to see updates of some classic enix games and series from the SNES days. Here is my list:

3. 7th Saga

2. Robotrek

1. Act Raiser!!! (as a remake or another game in the act raiser/soul blazer/IOG/terranigma series)

7th Saga = LEVEL GRINDING RPG. :P I love the concept, though.

Robotrek? Now aware of that. What I know it Robotek. :P

Actraiser/Soul Blazer/Terranigma... Not my type of RPG.

My most favorite "Enix" game is Star Ocean 2, follwed by Valkyrie Profile.

Firstly SO2 = best game ever made. With that out of the way I'm not a fan of remakes esp. of good games. If it was good just go back and play it again. "Robotrek" was a great SNES RPG. Had loads of fun with that game. Might want to give it a shot if you haven't. :)

That's mainly because most of the commercially popular games have been made from Square's side. Also, not many of Enix Corporation games were ported to Western shores during the SNES days. I think Terranigma is one of my favorite Enix published games.

I'm not saying SO2 is the best game ever made, but definitely, one of my most favorite RPGs. Diverse characters, interesting locations, 80 possible endings, 70+ hours of gameplay (have 230+ in my file), difficulty level options, and a lot more.

It's just funny how SO2 and Tales of Destiny share the same spells... including the basic spell animation design.

You got to play it? I don't think it was released in the USA, just in PAL format. I see you are from India, what TV format do you have there? Also I'm impressed that a 16yo would have played that or be so familiar with the SNES era!

I think remakes can be hit or miss but i think if you took the basic story elements and game play features and put it in a new body you could have a great game. With Act Raiser, you could keep the concept of a lone warrior sent by "god" to resurrect human civilization. The game could be in the Dynasty Warriors style where you use weapons and magic to hack through hoards of monsters and as you release more of a city you could command units of human fighters to aid you in defence of the city and assault on demon strongholds. I think mixing dynasty warriors combat with rpg elements and city building has huge potential for fun and depth of gameplay.

Robotrek too has potential. Just keep the concept of a young man building robots to fight with and put it in a RPG of modern standards, Boom, Robotrek 2.

Since the game was released for PAL only regions implies India has TV's which are of PAL format. I am lucky to have started gaming seriously from an early age and made majority of my SNES and NES purchases then. I might be only 16 but have been a gamer for around 12 years. Thanks to my addict of a gamer uncle.

Back in 1997-2000,SNES games were available in good numbers all over the world just extra cash needed to be shelled out.
