Last Remnant has got a low score because it's got technical issues and NOT because it's a bad game. Don't judge a game from it's score. This game is suffering a similar fate as Lost Odyssey did. That game was too made on Unreal Engine 3 and had similar frame-rate and popping texture issues as LR does but that didn't stop it from being one of the best JRPG's of this gen,did it?

If Last Remnant is a good game which I know it is from the reviews then it shouldn't stop anyone interested in it from buying it. :)

One of my old room mates has been playing this game, and he just can't get into it. I told him he started it, and now he must finish it. lol

I won't say it's entirely generic but very typical. If you're a RPG fan who's trying to keep up with the genre on the Xbox 360 I would say, whatever floats your boat. Lost Odyssey has some technical issue, just like LR. But Mistwalker's title is definitely more interesting.

As always i don't give a crap what the reviews say; i will get the game and form my own opinion on how it is. I loved Lost Odyssey; never noticed any technical glitches; and I expect LR to be the same. There will always be some hater that gives RPG's bad reviews, especially on the 360 for some reason, and to them i say: BLEH! don't review it if you already decided you're not gonna like it.

Isn't this game coming out for the PS3 as well later on? I hope to see all these problems fixed when it does.

um...Infinite Undiscovery was a technical mess :|  I Do think their reviews on RPGs have held merit as of late-and dont call it a hater-its a person doing his job-educating on the flaws-and a LOTof people have noticed this technical mess of a game too-not just GS.

i was speaking in general terms. I realize it's someone's job, but there seems to be a lot of focus on the negative aspects, and while i'm sure some people find it informative, i do not. And furthermore, I don't, and never will let others make my decisions for me - however, it's just my opinion, so there's no need to take offence; i respect the opinion of others as well.

Your anti-review attitude works fine for you, I have a feeling you made up your mind in a positive manner before hand.  But for me money is a factor.  I don't want to lay down a lot of cash before hearing what others have to say about it.  I guess there is always rentals too.

There are a few games that I have played (and loved) that got low marks here on GS. I do agree that I would be more reluctant to pay a lot of money for a game if it got low scores. I would probably wait to buy it used or after a few months.

that's a very good point :) generally i know enough about the game to know i'll probably like it: if a) it's an RPG, and b) it's made by Square Enix, then it's a done deal for me

However for other genres and types of games, i understand where you're coming from. There are a lot of stores who have an excellent exchange policy as well - for example, i purchased Jericho awhile back, and i hated it so i returned it with reciept a week later and the store i bought it from gave me an equal-value exchange :)Â
