Vaan & Penelo cameo in Tactics Advanced 2

Everyone has probably seen this already, but I felt it deserved a post just in case someone hasn't. Seems they changed Cid, visuals for summoned Totema are much improved, a cameo appearance by Vaan and Penelo, and a new character named Illua that looks a lot like Lulu from FFX to me (I know its not, I'm just saying). Hmm, now the FFXII characters are appearing in multiple SE titles....it's the FFVII cameos all over again!!!!! :shock:kryu88

Well.. they're all Ivalice games... so why not reuse character designs? I think it's a smart play. Those who loved FFXII will be more likely to buy Revenant Wings.. and those who buy Revenant Wings will be more likely to buy FFTA2.. plus Balthier is in FFT: War of the Lions.... it all makes sense.. and I think it's a great marketing ploy!crushgoil

But if they continue to use this ploy, the consumers will get tired of seeing the same characters over and over.

Good business move? Of course, but if they continue using it, people will get turned off of it.

Its cool having them in FFTA2 but what about the people that dont like vaan and penelo when they see them reappearing in game after game they may be put of that game so they may be gaining customers from one area but losing them from anothercloud31blunt

Yes, at least the games they're appearing in are somehow related to them in a way. Unlike the VII cameos done in Erhgeiz, what did Cloud, Tifa, Sephy,etc, have to do with that game? Nothing....absolutely nothing, they were the reason to buy that otherwise mediocre fighter :lol:
