When was the first time you ever heard of Enix? What i mean is, when did you first hear of the Enix part of the Square business before/after they merged?

Nice. The first time i even heard of them was when i first got my hands on Final Fantasy X2 and what a game it is. I noticed that Square-Enix showed after the game loaded and not Squaresoft. I was like "Whaaaaaaat". Now i cant get enough of them.

The first time I actually heard of Enix was at the release of the Dragon Warrior series. As you know however, the series was never released here in Europe, up until VIII anyway. When I got my Playstation 1 and I heard of the release of Dragon Quest VII I thought to myself that enough was enough and so, I got my Playstation chipped. Let me tell you, it was the best decision I've made. After beating DQVII which I thoroughly enjoyed I've been hooked on Enix and when I heard of the merge I was ecstatic! Two of my favourite game companies merging? It was like a dream come true! In my view, the reality is quite underwhelming but I have no complaints with DQVIII and for me, Enix are still doing extremely well.

Hmm, im a little confused, lol. Arent you the one (along with me) to say that Square-Enix are Money hungry at the moment and are trying to get what they can out of the Final Fantasy Series (Milking, which they are)?

Yes I am. I said that when I first heard of the merge I was ecstatic but the reality of it is underwhelming and nowhere near my expectations. That being said I did find Dragon Quest VIII very enjoyable.

I heard about it when I got FFX, back in 2005. I know I was late.  But in a way I still kind of miss Square Soft.  I remember poping FFVII in 97, and seeing that SS logo.  Now those were the days. :P

Isn't Square-Enix just a suped up version of Square-soft? I mean, two great companies combined together!

I heard about them before and they made a really solid game back on the ps1 which is star ocean the second story.  Its much better than star ocean till the end of time on the ps2.  Star ocean the second story is under rated.

I remember Enix when they did the DragonWarrior games on the old NES. I became aware of the merger of Square_Enix when I got my FFX-2. It surprised me, but in a positive way!

By the way, I accept all friend invitations!!

When squaresoft teamed up with Enix...

Somehow, i just believed that Enix sorta saved Square from the abyss.... :? I was worried at that time, i thought i was never gonna see chocobos again.
