Which final fantasy has the best story?

For me i think its final fantasy X since it was the first game ive played and has THE best story i have completed compared to other games. im playing ffVII at the moment to see how its story is like aswell.

Any other opinions?

To me, its FFIX. Its story was just so.....grand. FFVII comes so close, like an inch, behind IX.Kazuma_Sama

i say ffvii has the best game line of the series

Final Fantasy III was the best out of anyone of them. I played FFIII off of Nes Emulation and by far it's the plot is flawless. I'ts very similar story to IV and VI combind in  that way. You started off in some land and later turns out it was a floating Island in the sky which was kinda the island of heaven which had the light crystals and there's an island in hell which had the dark crystals and so on and so on.

I've always tried to tell myself that FF8 was the best of all of em but this recent replay of FF9 has proved me wrong, it's unbelievably beautiful and deep. Also I thought FF10 was lacking something... Great game but I find it hard to play through twice.xPLURALx

I didn't take the opinion of those who voiced for more than one from the FF series, I've counted your voices, and the result was till now the following :

9 voices for FFX

7 voices for FFVII

4 voices for FFIX

1 Voice for each FFVIII and FFIII

you know people that is great really but I think you have missed something, the story line of FFVII didn't stop with the end of the game there was 3 sequences which are :

The Dirge of Cerberus , Advent Children, Last Order , Before Crisis and Crisis Core

Well that would make a little change don't you think that with me ?

Any way for this reason I will consider FFVII the greatest Story Line from all the FF parts I've ever experienced.
