Just curious. I'm new to FF and am halfway through FF7. I'm planning to get FF8, 9, 10, 10-2, and 12 in the near future as I'm loving FF7 so much! Anyway, which FF game in your opinion is the longest or took you the longest to finish?

You should play FFIV-VI too, those are also fun :)
In my opinion it was FFVII, with all the side quests. If you don't count the side quests then it's FFX. I'm just curious, why did you want to know which one was longest? Wouldn't you want to know which was our favourites?
It depends if you want to make all the side-quests, for example in FFX-2 you have to do all the side-quests to see the perfect final, and it becomes very long (and boring, but this is only my opinion).

that was too easy, i've done that on my first race. :D Now i agree with most of you, FF X was the longest FF, but also FF VII, VIII and IX where pretty big themselves. :)
Definitley FFX, i had to play it for nearly 300 hours before i beat all the dark aeons. even after that i dont think i've actually done everything there is to do, FFX-2 was pretty long too, but not as long as FFX.
they are all pretty similar from the core story perspective but 7 and 10 have more sidequests and extra stuff to do.
i prefer 7 because in 10 you just have one big sidequest to do , the monster arena, that takes ages, but 7 has a lot of medium sized extra bits and that keeps it interesting for me.
