The comment and argument I'm about to make is completely off topic (as an excuse, I'll say you started it first with the graphics comment...heh..sorry), so I apologize in advance, but this comment is completely ignorant and moronic.
If you're bashing VII's graphics for having bad graphics in 2006, slap yourself. What kind of ignorant fool compares graphics from 1997 with graphics from 2006? And if you weren't then you are quite wrong, it had fantastic graphics for back then, amazing actually. If you look at other games, they were much more blocky, enviroments weren't nearly as detailed, and the cinematics (if they even had any) were no better than the in game graphics. Whereas VII's at the time were leaps and strides better. Now, once again, if you're comparing them with games in 2006, what in God's name do you think it would come to? And if you're not, then...I suggest you take a better look at what was out in the late 90's. But then again, someone who bashes the most technologically advanced game for the PlayStation back then probably doesn't know much about other games in that era, either... :roll:

I'm sorry Axel but I have to differ here. FFVII IMO did not have amazing graphics, actually quite average graphics. Characters did indeed look like lego models and FMVs had hardly improved on the in game graphics. Now compare this to Final Fantasy VIII's graphics made on the same system, about 2 years later. Those were amazing graphics with fantastic FMVs which made the characters look more human than any FF game had done previously.
Yes, but thats two years later. when ffVII came out, its graphics were superb. I got it when it came out, and was amazed with everything the system was capable of, with ffVII leading the pack. If your talking about 2 years later, compare VIII and IX. IX has nicer graphics than VIII as well, almost the same jump as from VII to VIII.
