i doubt it. people said the same about tidus when the trailers for FFX were out. personally only Quina every really annoyed me. just a stupid character. Selphie in FF8 kinda bugged me as well.

Eh, I don't really not like any characters from any Final Fantasy, even the ones who are shunned by most fans, considering there has to be some sort of comic relief in a game with such serious emotion. Anyway...I'll just name off my "least favorite" ones.
FF I - None, they have no personality. You can't not like someone with no personality, heh. FF II - Guy. He just pissed me off to many times to count. FF IV - Palom and Porom, they just got on my nerves. FF V - Butz, just because of his name. Not really...but I just didn't care for him much. FF VI - This one is hard, considering it's my favorite Final Fantasy. I guess Gau since he hardly had any back story. FF VII - I honestly love every one of the characters all the same. Yes, eve Cait Sith, he is my comic relief. FF VIII - Selphie, just because I didn't see any significance in the helpless little girl. FF IX - Everyone already knows... Quina. I don't think I have to say why. FF X - Once again, I love every character in this game. No one is wasted or just thrown in. FF XI - Yes, I count this as a part of the series. It has the name "Final Fantasy" in it, therefore, it is a part of the series, despite what some of you think. Anyway, I didn't really like the Shadow Lord in this, he just didn't seem sinister enough. FF XII - Not out yet.
As for the comments on Vaan being homosexual, when you say that you just sound ignorant and immature. First off all, he has a damn love affair with a woman in the game (although we don't know this for sure, I think it's obvious considering he looks as though he loves Ashe, and he has a girlfriend, or a very close friend that happens to be a girl). So how could he possibly be homosexual? Teens these days use the word "gay" for everything, I think some of you have forgotten it's meaning, although it's the wrong term. Anyway...grow up a bit and crawl out of your baby carriage, there's a whole world of stuff out there. :roll:
