yeah nintendo wii only had one fun sports/fitness game and that was Wii sports which comes free with the wii anyway. Wii doesnt have many good games either. They need to go back to normal controllers instead of the wiimote as well. AND wii is a dumb name for a console.
I just feel ripped off from buying it. It's basically like buying a slim gamecube at a higher price with a motion controller. I like Nintendo and really hope they do something better, a whole lot better next time otherwise the just lost a customer and long time fan.
lol yeah your wii should be smashed with a hammer and while your at it smash your other consoles but not your pc! lolI don't think so.
Price drop+ holiday releases+ the holiday sales. I think the Wii will regain it's momentum.
Am i a sheep valiantly defending the Wii? No, my wii is currently collecting dust in a drawer.

Motions controls never ruined it for me, if anything, it just adds potential. Dunno 'bout you guys but I'm having loads of fun with the likes of Wii Sports Resort, MP Corruption, Mario Galaxy, Okami, Mario Kart and Super Paper Mario are keeping me occupied to name a few (a variety of games which some take full advantage of the motion controls, and some just to add a slight touch, either way, it does not ruin the game, just enhances it). Looking forward to the likes of Red Steel 2, Metroid: Other M, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Galaxy 2, The Grinder and many more (all of which will provide a nice motion sensing touch).
Btw, even if sales are declining, they are still high, and extremely profitable.

Naah, the 360 is the system that has brought me the most enjoyment so far this generation. Not to mention that i am not a fan of gaming on the pc. Which is why the pc i'm currently typing on has mediocre/low specs.

I feel ripped off as well...So ripped off. Especially when (imo) all the gamecube prequels were better than the sequals on the Wii.
I wanna sell it....but i just can't..i don't know what it is...Maybe hope that something good will come out.

that's the dumbest thing i've heard all year, and I work with people.
i want them to go back to the old fun times days were the nintendo could be said to be the most funnest system there was.Furio12
That's what Wii is for me. I have 40 games for the thing. Until Wii came out I was pretty bored with gaming. It has made it feel fresh again.
Ive been reveiwing the facts and figures of nintendo wii sales and it doesnt look to good for the old nintendo if you know what i mean! unless they change the lame fitness type games the "wii" saga will end very shortly.! anyone that owns a wii this is a good time to trade in for another console or better yet buy a pc! so everyone say bye to the short lasting phase off "OMG MOTION SENSOR!" lol anyway guys as i said start to cash in on those old wii consoles! PS.facts and figures are on many different websites.Furio12
No way Im not buying another console until all of the console get motion controls.
The wii it not for everyone and it is a shame when people pay all the money and don't get all the want out of it.
The wii needs more and better games but that could have been said for the PS3 and the PSP. Better games are out and coming out too.
As forthe wii being on the way out your just crazy. It is on top and not going any where for a long time esp with the price drop.
Also the wii has created tons ofnew gamers and that is good for everyone.

We have to admit it to ourselves. The Nintendo Wii was nothing more than a 5 year prototype for something better. Their R&D dept is spending hundreds of millions for what? No one knows for sure but it could be for a new console. The Wii was cheaply made to recoup losses from previous gens. Games like SMG2 and the next Zelda have the same character design. It's obvious Nintendo is holding back. It had its gems but I wish I would've waited intead.

More likely than not, you don't own a Wii and have played on one only a few times. Nintendo is fine. As much as you wish "for the old days" Nintendo isn't going back. They've found they can keep their core franchises going, try a few new IPs and still include the games like Wii Sports and Wii Fit that are made for a larger, less gaming audience.
Sony may have the current boost with the Slim and price drop, but with Nintendo dropping the price, and the Nintendo heavy hitters coming up soon (Mario, Zelda and Metroid, along with Wii Fit Plus) they'll be doing very well for a long time.
There probably is some truth to that. The point that people seem to miss when hating on the new direction Nintendo has taken is that if they went the traditional route, they would have dug themselves into an even deeper rut. The best example is Sega. After years of mistakes, they made the Dreamcast. It was a critical darling, but that did a load of good to Sega in regards to staying in the market, didn't it? Even the Gamecube, which was more powerful than the PS2, still ended up in third place. Indeed, Wii's weaker technical strength was to make up for the losses in the previous gens. Personally though, I'm wouldn't be buying an HD version of the Wii console in two years. That's just too soon for me.We have to admit it to ourselves. They needed to be profitable in order to stay viable in the console market and being an HD clone wouldnt cut it. I dont think the next console is going to be the Wii HD. Since Nintendo has a 5 year life cycle for its consoles, it's more likely that it's going to be the true successor to the Nintendo Wii not an HD spinoff. We have to admit it to ourselves. i agreeI feel that if they go the same route next time around it's not gonna work out to their benefit.

Not sure why you would post this when the WII is still selling well yet slower than it's great pace and is now had it's first price cut and the New Super Mario Brothers and Mario Galaxy, Zelda and Metroid games coming out. Expect the Wii sales to stay strong. Casual gaming market is huge even in a recession people need an outlet. Now I don't really play my Wii since HODOK(game sucked as it was really short)came out but will turn it on once I receive DSE. Wow finally a game to play withmy Wii. LOL.

the haet nintendo gets is just insane. The wii is doing great and is going no where! the sales are down that happens after ages of selling well. price droped helped alot and new gamse are coming.

Well I have fought over selling mine just to get rid of it since I don't play it at all but I hope DSE and NSMB keeps me entertain for the rest of the year along with my PS3 and U2 ofcourse. TC can you give me some sources besides slowing down sales in a bad economy that show that the Wii is on it's way out. Maybe an article from one of those guys(Patcher and his cohorts in the industry)always predicting the price cuts? LOL.
