1 wk since i sold my wii........

and got a PS3.

i sold my wii, 2 classic controllers, comp. cable, and extra remote and nunchuck, and 11 games for the $399 PS3, HD CABLE, 7 games, and 4 blu-ray movies, and spent about $80 difference.

this all happened because my 360 RROD and microsoft wouldnt fix it. (my room mates messed up a few months ago and they wont take 2 from 1 address. i missed my 360 and never played my wii so i decided on the PS3 since i have an hd-dvd player and my roomie has a 360.

since i have got to play all the games both good and bad (-RPG's which ive never liked, zelda the only exception), i think i made the right choice.i am now an official cow. the PS3 is awesome. ive got ratchet, uncharted, motorstorm, unreal, COD4, resistence, and all pro football and its my best line-up of games since the 64 and dreamcast.

best of all, i still get to play the 360 for another month before my roomie moves out. i will never rag the 360. its a good system with the best line-up of games since the dreamcast. i just quit trusting it. ive had every nintendo system form the nes to the cube and they have always been my fav. of the generation (other then the dreamcast which was kind of a in between system gen. system. but the wii is a dissapointment for mw on a massive level. i got bored with zelda once you start controlling the wolf in the prison cell in the sewer area.

i got bored with metroid taking down the generators on the 1st planet. mario riding the ray, i hated paper mario, and wii sports i never played. and other then zach and wiki and power pro baseball forget getting any 3rd party help. i di love MOH2H but after playing unreal, COD4, nad resistence i realize how plain it it. i do miss the control scheme though. in my opinion....the best game on the wii other then zach and wiki is waverace 64.

the wii is a good system to have as long as you have a 360 or PS3 to compliment it. but nintendo has a unique way of doing things. im sure the wii will be worth having at some point. but i would never recommend it as someones only system. but after they bought some of the shovelware on it....they would probably sale it anyway. i know i did.

I would have just taken some cash...but the Wii to me doesnt seem worth it. Especially if you have a HDTV. Its looks really poor. Theres a few good games on it but nothing that makes me jump for joy like on other platforms.Acurev

i have a nice samsung 32 inch hdtv but its only 720p and 1080i. guess i jumpped on the hd wagon to soon.

I would have just taken some cash...but the Wii to me doesnt seem worth it. Especially if you have a HDTV. Its looks really poor. Theres a few good games on it but nothing that makes me jump forjoy like on other platforms.Acurev

The Wii doesn't look bad at all on an HDTV? I don't know where people get this...but component cables make the image just as good as anything else. So the graphics don't have hyper-realistic textures...doesn't make them horrible.

good choice...the Wii wouldnt have lasted long through 08 anyways

Ahhh fantastic, because all Wii games look this bad. Funnily enough I just got a new TV today and with component cables I was quite pleasantly suprised with how good my Wii looked on it. Never realised how gorgeous both Corruption and Galaxy actually are. Can you honestly look at those two games running at 480p and say Wii has rubbish graphics?
