Why are people acting like MGS 4 or GTA IV are the only games that ever got a 10? Just because they got 10's doesn't make them the greatest of all time , it makes them TWO OF the greatest games of all time, and that's a pretty long list.heretrix

i don;t think anyone is thinking these 2 games are the only full marks scorers. the fact that they came out within 6 weeks of eachother makes it more of a discussion point because it's not often that 2 games of such high quality are released so close together.

and for the people that are saying oot, chrono cross and tony hawks are better, well they may be, but that's an entirely different discussion and clearly not the type of discussion the topic creator was thinking of when they made the topic.

MGS4 beats GTAIV in pretty much every aspect. GTAIV's gameplay was fun but it doesnt beat MGS4's. MGS4's story was amazing. GTAIV's story sucked. So i'd go for MGS4.

Did I say that? And am I American? No... anyway, it's just that the Japanese have their own sense of humor. And I, for one, just don't get that kind of humor. 'Cause in the MGS series, they kind of blend the Japanese quirkyness with realism.

MGS4 - Haven't played it ye as I just built a new computer and I am low on money...but judging from other MGS games and some MGS4 reviews I have seen it will undoubtly have

A linear storyline and map design,stupid AI, long cinematics, Clunky Gameplay and poor voice acting

as for me, having played the two games i was way more hooked on MGS4 and seemed better done overall.
