When in-game advertising turns from a banner here and there to full-blown commercials during load screens, with a PC you can just put more RAM or whatever in and then it will be shorter loading screens which means that they won't have time to give you commercials so console games will have commercials during load screens while PC games will not.

I didn't see the overadvertisements that many claimed Guitar Hero 3 had.

Besides, ads don't really annoy me. I just read another article for a few minutes while the ad is going on with movies I want to see.

I usually get a drink or something to eat or empty my bladder when its commercial break on tvs.

So, advertisement doesn't get in my way.

And I doubt it will actually bother me anytime soon.

Web browser based 3D games will make a huge surge, I predict.

Considering how massivley flash web based games, and small in browser games have taken off, being able to play full 3D, online or singleplayer games in your web browser is the future.

Ive seen some sandbox 3D web browser stuff with multiplayer - like Garrys mod - demo'd at uni, and its amazing stuff. The visuals were almost on par with Far Cry.

in-game ads are annoying unless its sports or racing. any kind of story and i hate ads.

its like in every sony movie, it feels like there are always a few close ups of ericson phones and bravia tvs.

PC is more likely to suffer from in-game advertising. But on the other hand PC might also allow you to block them one way or another.

The real reason PC gaming will be superior in 10 years is the development of hardware leading into powerfull central computers in homes where you don't need separate "gaming GPUs" but just download a game and instantly play it on any TV or monitor in your house all connected to your very own HAL9000. Of course I just made this all up and it could be a load of bs.

I wont have a problem with in game ads as long as they blend perfectly with the theme of the game game. Take GTA for example instead of going to generic fast food places like Burger Shot, cluckin bell, ect. they could have Burger King, Pizza Hut, Toco Bell ect. in the game. Obviously that kind of stuff wont work for all games... I wouldn't want to see a character in FFXIII drinking Pepsi for example, it would seem out of place.jdt532

PC is here to offer best possible quality and to drive technology,while consoles are here to be available to lot of people,so that those people become interested in gaming and technology

If PC died,than next console wouldnt be as powerfull as it could be if PC was alive

If consoles die,not many people would play games,company would run out of money etc
