Does it play games, goes on the 'net, uses WiFi, comes with a hard drive? Ninten007Sony should've said the cheapest Game console and Blu-ray player with great multimedia functionality

Actually no. the cheapest BD player I've seen is $229, and the sony, samsung, etc BD's are 299-399 (mostly 299 now).
Only the higher end ones with 7.1 analog audio are about 500.

you misunderstood my comment:P I was talking about building this BluRay DRIVE in a atleast 400$ PC. But then logic comes in to play...
Why spend that much when for $100 more you get a game system, blu-ray player, plus more?
I can see buying a blu-ray PLAYER (not a drive like the TC posted) for $100 standalone would make sense, but paying nearly the price of the PS3 for a player is just not very logical. IMO anyways... to each his own I guess.
