700 dollar PC and a PS3 imo.

Not on option. One or the other.
why?Just isn't.
it's hard to say "no" to a gaming pc if you're in the market for one. go for it and never look back.

If you are willing to spend $1000, why not spend it wisely and do something like split between the two? $700 is more than enough to make a great PC, and by doing that you win on both fronts.

That makes no sense. You can get a good PC for $700 and then have money to get a PS3 for it's game. Get the best of both worlds.

The more money you spend on a PC now, the less money that you'll have to spend later and the better performance you'll get from your games. @TC: I recommend the PC, though you'll have no regrets either way.I already own an XBOX 360. i have to decide betweeen spending about $1000 on an awesome desktop computer that I built, or buying a PS3. get ps3 and a sony or samsung full hdtv for 700 dolar (32 inch)
a 1000$ computer will be very outdated but still more powerfull than a ps3. but it is better to get a ps3 and an hdtv for that price.
I think you should go with the PC and for all of you people telling him to build a $700 PC and get a PS3 you can be quiet. Ok the first one who gave the suggestion fine, but after he said it wasn't an option just tell him your answer if he's not doing it why continue to be an ass about it? Besides if he wants to get games for the PC and the PS3 once he starts off, he'll need more money than if he just had to buy games for the PC.

I find it hard to recommend a 32" HDTV, except for a bedroom. Go 42" and up.[QUOTE="pc-ps360"][QUOTE="argetlam00"]

I can't go back - my old 56" DLP spoiled me, and my new 55" LCD isn't that much smaller. A friend of mine has a 61" LED DLP, and it's ridiculously awesome.I can agree with something like that. :) Although a nice pc is ALWAYS a good option.PS3 + $700 worth of games > $1000 pc + $0 worth of games.

No, PC is still better actually.
Mods and authorized free games are hard to beat. fact.
I don't get it, mods for what games? If you have no retail games, what mods are you looking at?:?Also as a PC gamer, I can tell you, free games can only get you SO FAR.

You notice I left $300 out of the PS3 side? My PC cost 300 (2.6 ghz dual core, 6 gigs ram) and does everything a pc needs to do besides play high end games. But since you're saying a pc with no games is better, you don't need it to be able to play high end games. So, add that $300 pc (again, 6 gigs of ram and a modest dual core processor is easily able to do anything you need a pc to do except run high end games) to the 300 PS3 and 400 worth of PS3 games, and it is better than a 1000 pc (which can play high end games, but you have none to play on it).[QUOTE="Espada12"]

Lady Gaga headphones FTW !!!!I would recommend a PC over a PS3. You should only get a PS3 if you truly want its exclusives.
For PC, you can spend $900 and buy the Valve Complete Pack which comes with 22 games for $100. You can also get every GTA Game for $65 as well. That is just to get started of course.
PC+PS3 is so much better it's ridiculous. Almost every game on 360 is on PC. Conviction, L4D, Metro 2033, and it's the much better version.PC if your dying to play PC exclusives, but then again your missing out on many, many great PS3 exclusives. Imo PS3+360 is the greatest option but thats just me :)

Get the PC, save up some moolah, and get a PS3 off of eBay/Craigslist. They should be cheaper there.
Aye, no contest here -- PC easily.it's hard to say "no" to a gaming pc if you're in the market for one. go for it and never look back.

TC already has a 360 though so he's better off getting rid of the 360 for the fw pennies it's worth, getting a PS3 and PC. Far better combo then PC360. Lots of 360's best games go to PC anyways.
I get the feeling that this was just a troll attempt thread though...
Well, if you have the money, I'd go for a $1000 dollar PC, but it'd make more sense to me to get a PS3 and a $700 computer.black_tempestthis is wize
PC gaming is a much, MUCH different beast than console gaming. You already have a 360 so get yourself a PC and experience wholly different form of this hobby. Just expect to put time and energy into this venture, not only with maintenance but browsing for hiddens gems in the form of awesome games.
