I was reading the list of 1001 movies you have to see before you die and i was thinking "Why cant there be one for games as well"

So basically i want you guys to help me make a list of 1001 games you have to see before you die.

One that has come to mind is the first Vewtiful Joe for GC.That was a pretty unique experience.

Too many shooters on that list.Maybe narrow them down to Half-Life, Halo: Combat Evolved, and the original Doom and Wolfenstein, and possibly Goldeneye 64.Those were the most important IMO.And then tackle other genres.jimmygrace

Meh true i guess but then again shooters are my favourite genre:P (and they are at least in the top 1000 games even if there not the greatest games of all time of anything

I suppose I'll say Hogs of War. It's a PS1 game which is kinda like Worms, awesome in multiplayer.

I agree but shooters are what the point and click were 15 years ago. It the hot genre right now.

I currently own over 500 games spanning generations since the NES. Even with that being half the number I can't find time to finish them all, or barely even the majority for that matter.

Movies are easy to watch you talking a span 1-3hours of watching. Gaming on things besides mini-games (or mini-game-esque genres like rhythm or puzzle games) takes even 6hrs for "short" action/FPS titles, and anything ranging from 50-200hrs for most RPG titles.

Top 101 games would be a bit more feasible.

Nah, I would say MP3 was a fantastic game, but not a masterpiece.
