15 Greatest Video Game Villains

Video games are famous for events that occur at the end of them called "Boss Battles". Usually, you face off against the one who has opposed you constantly throughout your experience, and you must use all of your knowledge to defeat them. There are some villains who have stuck with us because they are genuinely evil.

This is more like 15 most well-known video game villains, albeit with a couple exceptions. I think pretty much anyone with a solid history of playing video games would disagree with the majority of that list. I can already think of nearly 15 more-deserving villains.

The fact that Dutch from RDR is on there and not Majora's Mask instantly makes the list very wrong. Also, I disagree alot with Glados being number 1.

I never knew that Ares was Kratos' sister, he looked pretty manly to me...

You don't get to see much of Dutch though, he was really underused. A flashback type DLC would've been awesome, I don't think we'll see anything like that though. But yeah, maybe if he had more of a presence he could have been on a list such as this, from what you did see though, he looked like a pretty awesome character.

his passing would have had a much bigger impact if there had been some DLC where you could see Marsten's past. As it was, I couldn't care less about the character, and I felt nothing, except maybe anger, at him. I didn't think he was a good villian, antagonist, or character.

"Most overrated villains" is more like it.

Yay, GLaDOS, i don't know if it is the best villian ever, but i love that insane machine.

Also, Psycho Mantis? not agree with that one, i always thought it was more annoying than anything, if any villian from MGS deserves the attention is IMO Sniper Wolf.

Not going to pick away at the whole list as its their opinion, but the mgs choice is weird. He was a great boss, but not the best villain in its history. Ocelot for the rivalry or boss for emotional cause you could say, would have made a much better choice I think.

But really I can't find anything that wrong with the list. There are plenty of villains, but I think the guys actually got the list down pretty ok. Although Glados being number 1 is confusing to me.

psycho mantins? Over liquid? Really??? Really?? No kerrigan? No kane? No Wesker? ... team rocket, pyramid head and zeus making the list? Man I know it's their opinion but that list is bad.

Kreia & Sion is what I'd choose.

Saddler ahead of Wesker is this a joke and where is Kefka. Ganondorf should be number 1 as well he is just downright evil.

Bowser/King Koopa should be #1 as he's the first boss that most people know. Glados should be replaced by Bison. Shao Khan should be in there somewhere. No Liquid Snake/Ocelot*? I mean these are opinions and even votes wouldn't matter as shown by the fiasco of a bracket GS had late last year. I guess, to each their own.

Lich king isnt even the best villan in Warcraft

Illidan Stormrage, Grom hellscream and Kel'thuzad are much better villans, Lich king is just a Darth Vader clone, he wasnt even threatening in wrath of the lich king since Darion Mograine and Tirion fordring both beat him up at one stage, he became comic relief, the devs at Blizzcon even admitted they ruined the Lich king

She did the rogue-AI thing first, and better. In fact I think that there's where probably a lot of inspiration for gladOs's character came from.

When she mocked you, it was freaky. One of the only characters that really got to me.

Anyway, a crappy list. Whoever made it is probably not played much beyond the previous 6-7 years and rest of his mentions are made on general videogaming knowledge (eg. sephiroth).
