A Battlefield contest without the PC version? That's like a Call of Duty contest without the Xbox 360 version. Madness!!!
Then the winner uses the $1.6 million to buy a PC so that he can play BF3 on it.

We're using tournaments to claim ownage now? What's next, commercials?
**** all aim assist games ngbfnvnhcbnvbvcYeah, we get it, you don't like aim assist, you can stop quadruple posting now
Anyway, this is pretty cool, would've been fun to include PCs aswell, but ohwell.
Ironically MLG uses nothing but PS3's for their COD tournaments.A Battlefield contest without the PC version? That's like a Call of Duty contest without the Xbox 360 version. Madness!!!

[QUOTE="ngbfnvnhcbnvbvc"]**** all aim assist games TehSonofUglyYeah, we get it, you don't like aim assist, you can stop quadruple posting now If i turn off aim assist the other 23 people in the game will still be using it....that's nice and balanced. The only real balance is aim assist off. With everyone aim assist forced on like halo it's musical chairs.

I feel like that should be an example in the definition of irony. I thought MLG was mainly Xbox though, but I guess they're moving on towards more gamers.

major laugh gaming? real meaning of mlg.PC gamers are not invited because console gamers would be literally crushed. Ahh... the wonders of KB/Mouse controls.lordlorsToo bad you didn't think that joke through cause there's no cross platform play in these tournaments so pc gamers would be playing against other pc gamers.
Nice prize, altough the ammount isn't all that impressive considering it will be a long online tournament. League of Legends's prize pool for S2 is over three times as much.
Who will be claiming ownage 6 months after release when the console versions are a virtual ghost town and the PC community is still going strong.Marka1700No one because they won't be ghost towns. To this day you can still find full 12 on 12 games in the PS3 version of BFBC2 and that came out how many months ago? Yeah, the console versions will last a long time.

I'm pretty sure MLG goes like this: Xbox has Halo PS3 has COD PC has Starcraft They try to spread the love so each system has a popular game for competition.Who will be claiming ownage 6 months after release when the console versions are a virtual ghost town and the PC community is still going strong.Marka1700
That must be why Call of Duty 4, a game from 2007 still has an active community on PS3 and Xbox right?
But I guess its not a bad thing when it just means console gamers are getting new games to play and not stuck with the same games as last year 8)

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-09-27-USD1-6m-battlefield-3-contest-announced Early next year a BF3 tourney on PS360 will kick off with a cash award of $1.6 Million dollars. Sorry PC gamers, DICE have sold out to you guys once againrich-sac
PC gamers were able to play in a 1,6 million dollar tournament from the alpha of a game which is still in development (Dota 2). PC players aren't able to play in the BF3 tournament to prevent another embarrassing experience to console players (do you remember the BC 2 map unlock? I do).
