18 Months Later, Same Result. Good Going MS.

Note: This is not my system. I found it while surfing online. You can find posts about it at the Xbox forums. (The ones hosted by Microsoft not here at Gamespot)

Can it be a fake? Absolutely. I wouldn't discount some rabid fanboy photoshopping this and trying to pass it off as real news.

But if it is true, I find it very sad. I was considering picking up an Elite (gotta love the black color) because truth be told, as much as I love Sony, Mass Effect looks too good to pass up.

If MS still hasn't fixed this problem (18 months later, I might add), I really have to ask what is going on. Slapping on an HDMI connector, a 120GB HDD, and a snazzy coat of paint doesn't take 18 months worth of planning.

Someone please tell me this is a forged image.

Are you saying you'd only get one if they were unbreakable? Somebody probably deliberately broke an elite ad took a pic if it's real.

I've got no problem with you questioning the veracity of the image. Again, if you take the time to read instead of being so oversensitive, I note that there is a definite possibility that this is fake.

Again, if you take the time to read, I've already mentioned I am a big fan of the Sony system. There is no hidden agenda here pal.

My placing it on the PS3 boards was a mistake. I hit "New Topic" in the wrong forum. I've since moved it to System Wars because the PS3 board is not an appropriate place to discuss the Xbox360 Elite. I don't see the "obvious hidden ulterior motives" you seem to imply that I carry.

If you are trying to turn this into a flamefest, you will not drag me down to your level.

 Had my 360 since Dec 05 without any problems and  so do many many. It's a misconception to think everyone had a problem. If you are such a big Sony fan why bother if the pic is real or not? makes no sense

Also there seems to be light in between each light, like a red glow where as in the top pic it is black in between. If it was real there's no way it could be black in between is there? Cause the lights are glowing all around unless for some reason MS changed the design and put something in between each light for whatever reason

I love how 360 fanboys get so defensive over a pic that could be real or not. Bottom line is the 360 is faulty system plain simple, could be real could be fake. You guys need to except the fact that when this gen is done, the 360 failure rate will have doubled any other consoles faiure rate ie: the PS2.

Thats just the way it is. Its great some of you still have launch consoles. You know what theres A LOT of people that are not that lucky, and if the PS3 and Wii were as faulty we would be hearing about it. Im gonna say the pic is real, and 360 fanboys need to suck it up and just deal with the fact the 360 is faulty.

These posts, especially the second, question his neutrality. Look at the last sentence in the second post, it's as if he has already made up his mind about the picture. Also, why a period instead of a question mark at the end of "18 Months Later, Same result" in the thread title.

I'm not going to assume that he definitely posted with an ulterior motive, but the evidence does suggest it.

As for the picture it is most definitely a fake. The pictures comparing real 3 rings of death appearing on an original white 360 against their supposed appearance on that Elite proves this.
