1up says Mass Effect is only 12hrs long?

Those idiots from 1up are a bunch of liars,they said that Mass Effect is only 12hrs and everyone here on system wars believes it,even though different people ands sites says its way longer but you stupid fanboys here are only going off of 1ups 12hrs long Mass Effect theory.Becuz Mass Effect isnt 12hrs long,i've been playing the game for 20hrs now and i only did about 5 main quest missions and about 10 side missions and im not even close to done with the game.Pretty sure those guys at 1up just rushed through the game.

But i dont reallycare,just wanted to clear that up with you fanboys here that thinks its suck becuz 1up says its short.

Off to play some more Mass Effect now.

i'm about 18 hours in an i'm only at the 1st planet after that space station :) i soak it in and do all side quests, eavesdrop on npcs, read everything in Codex.

i love it :)

FYI, the main game can be finished in 3 hours according the Bioware reps. That is a SPEED RUN, with combat on easy -- and running past all baddies that don't have to be killed :)3picuri3

:lol: LMAO. Even though I was prepared, I didn't expect it to be that hard. I also did it first but that was after I did all the sidequests in the Citidel and did a bit of exploration. I played many RPGs and I know how to level up characters, so I upgraded my characters accordingly, increasing only the stats they're focusing on...So, in general, my characters are powerful...BUT OMG!!!! That last part in Noveria, LOL...Dman Asari's :P

Yeah and after they said that everyone here immediately took off and ran with it saying its only 12hrs long and is gonna suck,im just letting everyone know that it isnt gonna end in 12hrs and it is a great rpg.

Nobody said it was going to suck because of the length. They DID make fun of the length, but you are jumping to pretty ridiculous conclusions to justify your own fanboy outrage.

The reason reviewers only talk about main story length is because not everyone who plays the game is going to have the same length of time. Some people may play the game for 100 hours and still not beat it. Since it is impossible to take that into account, all anyone can reasonably do is talk about how long the main "meat" of the game takes.

Crying about this is just a waste of time.

no kidding :P it doesn't just take powerful characters, it definitely requires a bit of luck. my tactics didn't change every time i tried, but on the 5th of 6th attempt things just clicked. probably didn't help that i took Tali on that mission, she's ok taking down the Geth, but she just gets annihilated by the Asari Commandos :P
