1up Uncharted review 8.5

Heck yea another solid score, this game is looking to be a high AA - low AAA game...unlike AC where the reviews are everywhere.

I guess all other reviewers are jokes as well since they reviewed the game similar to that of 1up.

1UP is not a joke because of this one review's score, but because their reviews tend to be wordy garbage and do nothing to justify their scores. Which are often stupid. (Though not necessarily in every case; there are only so many scores you can give a game out of 10, anyway, they're bound to be right sometimes.)

What was the correct answer then flashattack? I'm quite sure Gears of War originated active reloading, don't think Halo introduced the shield regeneration but it certainly was the first game to publicise it.

that's the official hype but if you read any of the forums then you would know that they're comparing it to the likes of mass effect... which is of course hyped AAA with a chance of AAAA.

1up lost credit for me since Supreme Commander 7.0... and justrecently The Witcher 7.0. They have very unrealistic expectations. Scoring Crysis lower then Uncharted just proves my point. O_o

and a whole lot of games use "shields" or regens instead of health packs. this game is a lot like gears and other games, but these arent the best quotes to demostrate that.

Of course they do, but ever since Halo 2's release on Xbox. Many many games started to use the regen system rather than the health pack system. CoD2,3,4, Gears, Darkness, Crysis come to mind.
