Doesn't really give a definitive answer, but a good comparison either way. I personally think that PS3 is clearly a better value, but right now the 360 is the better system.

its not in the price value...its in the games value...............im a 360 owner.
and if i had to choose between an Elite 360, from a Core PS3 with Blu-Ray, Cell Processor, Bluetooth bla bla bla,
i would still choose the Elite 360, becuase i can play the games i want and that i like, so it depends in the Games Value, not the Price Value, altough i think this is a really bad move from MS :(
lol@games value. PS2 is better than all. But between 360 and PS3, PS3 lose points for not having rumble. I just played a game called GRAW 2 at gamestop, the rumble really vibrates when u shoot. PS3 needs to hurry and bring back rumble.its not in the price value...its in the games value...............im a 360 owner.

How can you say the PS3 is the better value when both consoles came in at about $850? For that money, you get the "same" features?Doesn't really give a definitive answer, but a good comparison either way. Remember ps3 comes with bluray.... if you want hddvd it will cost 200 dollars which goes to 675 for elite black 360. Costs more than 60gb ps3. Plus it has built in wifi with free online.weill IMO

[QUOTE="MTBare"][QUOTE="lordxymor"]Swing and a miss.. My math is wrong? Where? Show me. You included three things that do the same thing. They just listed cheaper alternatives. * Wireless Internet support: Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter -- $99.99 Other Options: D-Link DGL 3420 -- $79.99 WGA54G Wireless G-Gaming Adapter -- $83.15hmm...
199.99 + 99.99 + 79.99 + 83.15 + 19.99 + 49.99 = 533.1
533.1 + 479.99 = 1 013.09

The Elite 360 is clearly inferior to the Premium PS3 in multimedia value. But the 360 is clearly superior in the terms of gaming value. The PS3 is still not quite around the bend, but it's getting there.Basinboy
no truer words have ever been spoken about a GAMING console. lets not forget people that this is a GAMING console first and whateverelse next, not vice versa.

Oh yeah, I see that now. My mistake.
But why did they add component and hdmi cable to the ps3 list? Isn't it a self exclusive choice or do you need both?
How about $100 bucks for a headset. You can get a crappy logitec for $30 bucks and a Motorolla one for $50 on amazon.

They added those because headset and cables come with the 360. I think they put all the first party accessories to keep consistency. The Elite 360 is clearly inferior to the Premium PS3 in multimedia value. By the end of the year, we'll see PS3 really mature.
