"Steel Monkeys was liquidated a couple of years ago. But in some shady manner one of the founders set up a new studio in Belarus. And somehow, despite not having released any products for two years, they've been able to self-finance the development of an in-house engine as well as the game 2 Days to Vegas for I think three years now.
This is their most recent (July 2005) game, Ultimate Baja Madness for PC:

And here's a render for the same game.

And they haven't even bothered looking for a publisher because they want full creative control. Seems like quite the risk and a potential waste of millions of dollars don't you think?
Also I remember their actual CEO, Tim Dvoskin, wrote me an email like two years ago stating more info would be released that summer. Which never happened, and continued to not happen until recently. And their idea of purposely staying under the radar because media coverage and hype is bad sounds quite odd.
So yeah I think it's quite fair to consider this game vaporware. And also to not put any weight to their comments."
Let's put it like this.
90% chance of it never being released.
80% chance of it looking and/or playing like ass if it is.
So basically there's a 2% chance of it being able to even compete with GTA. Unless my maths suck, which is quite probable.
