It looks like an interesting game. Honestly, I am not big on the art style, but that doesn't really matter to me. I probably wont be buying this, because I have a hunch that it will get repetitive in the worst of ways very quickly. It also appeared that while in the air enemies were all but sitting ducks, which would make jumping and changing directions over and over again completely OP. That said however, if that was only early level gameplay there is a chance that the AI advances as you do... just highly unlikely. I really don't see this game scoring above a 7-8 overall... maybe in the MC realm of 72-80. Not a bad score for a game with a lot of potential. It doesn't appear to be for me, but other games like Destiny won me over with time... (and then lost me just as quickly) so who knows, maybe I will cave. For now though, color me unimpressed but interested. The moving mechanics seem fluid and crisp. Add in some big boss fights and enemies that can grind and climb as well, with a lot more variety, and I am definitely more in the realm of being interested enough to buy. Just need to see some more for now.
Yeah Im interested in seeing if the AI gets better throughout the game, I completely agree on the moving mechanics, it just looks so smooth. As far as the art style Im a fan I've always liked the bright cartoony look compared to the more realistic. I grew up on crash, banjo, Mario 64 and i like all the platforming elements in this game, even though it has shooting as well. I must be the only one who misses the old tony hawk games.
This is a different game where Its not going to be great for everyone, but it looks like it has what I miss from older games combined.
Surprised by all the infamous comparisons.... 2 very different looking types of games imo, down to the moving mechanics, art style, weapons, Besides being open world and 3rd person, I see nothing similar between the 2.
