2,000+ Page Script for Beyond: Two Souls

Oh my.

Developer Quantic Dream is run by a man named David Cage, and as anyone even remotely familiar with the studio knows, Cage takes his job very seriously. His upcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive title Beyond: Two Souls is another game in his companys newly-minted genre Interactive Drama and to prove just how humongous and dense the game is, Sony sent out a mock script representing every scene in the game.

Dan Ackerman from CNET posted a picture of said script on Facebook. He notes that each of the pages are completely blank, so dont flip out thats not the actual script. Its simply representative of the games meatiness.IGN

iirc Heavy Rain's script was like 5,000 pages.

The Walking Dead was a movie game. You differentiate as to whether you liked the story, actors better etc, but it was still a movie game. The gameplay mechanic were also pretty archaic. I loved both though.

No only played it once, but Cage said he didn't want make another Heavy Rain and I haven't seen any mention of this game having a "choose your own path" type of story.

Honestely I don't know what's up with all this stupid trend to bash on Quantic for releasing this kind of games... they're supposed to be Story Driven Adventures. When you buy this kind of game of you know what to expect... honestely was anyone expecting a goddamn shooter when buying Heavy Rain?
I've enjoyed  Farenheit (Indigo Prophecy) and Heavy Rain and I'm planning to play Beyond as well... the stories are great and thrilling, really there's nothign wrong with this kind of games. And it's not that we get them in large quantities or something. It's maybe 1-2 games per 3 years or something... so all this b1tching is really stupid. In a game industry that is 70% filled with stupid shooters, I welcome anything different.

Haven't watched the Simpson in years. Seems like a theme with you and not current things though. People tend romanticize their past as they get older.

If games like Beyond does not exist in the industry, trust me when i say the industry would find it difficult debating with politicians about how violence isnt all what video game is about
