nothings set in stone, and there hasnt been an official announcement for a PC version

so basically the wii is on par with other next gen consoles exclusively speaking

sounds pretty sad for the other consoles if you ask me

PC wins as expected. However the PS3 had a very strong showing, neck and neck with the 360. And the Wii, well...NerdMan

Wow pc wins by such a long shot it's not even funny =/.

pc rules as usual, but i am surprised to see ps3 and 360 equal/almost equal as far as total number of AAA and AA are concerned.

even more funnier is the fact that after all that crying that pc is loosing exclusive its number of AA exclusive are astounding

Debatable in the grand scheme of things. 10 AAA with only 2 exclusives beats 3 AAA all of which are exclusive.

Not tooo surprised at the PS3 beating up the Wii there. In terms of games, the two systems are always mentioned in the same breath (for whatever reason), but the PS3 has clearly the better library.

I assume those stats include PC expansion packs as well....

I agree with you on that. But, on some level,exclusives lose their value (somewhat) when all the best games end up being multiplats anyways.

The industry treats them as full games, they have enough new content and game mechanics to warrant a fresh experience (well, good ones do) and there are even many standalone titles these days (Company of Heroes Opposing Fronts, Dawn of War Dark Crusade, Supreme Commander Forged Alliance, Galactic Civ 2's Dark Avatar).

Actually Dan's right. Unlike before, the trend nowadays is that expansion packs work as stand-alone games, and as with COH: Opposing Fronts, at times offer even more content than the original.

Expansion packs are a strength of the PC.

I'm speaking from my own opinion......My top games played (in terms of total amount of time spent playing) were; Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Bioshock, Call of Duty 4, Halo 3, Zelda TP, and FFXII...half of those were multiplats.

That's where I'm coming from. Coming from my P.O.V. the best games seem to be multiplat. Obviously yours opinion is different judging from your post.

I noticed something here...

Total AAA-AA Games

PC: 36 (25)

360: 30 (6)

PS3: 29 (3)

Wii: 13 (6)

What surprises me isn't the amount of games that are there for the Wii (not that many -- but we all should've known that), but how with less than half the total amount of great games that the PS3, the Wii has double the exclusives. Double. Of the seven best PS3 games, none of them were PS3 exclusive. That's just... well, that's just plain old pathetic. It's really showing why the PS3 isn't selling as well as the 360 right now -- in fact, it's amazing how few exclusives there are for the the 360 and the PS3 compared to the Wii... look at this:

Percent of Games Exclusive (PC left out... because I'm feeling lazy. They win this one easily though)

360: (20% exclusive)

PS3: (App. 10.34% exclusive)

Wii: (App. 46.15% exclusive)

Just look how much more of the better games coming into the Wii are exclusives... and this is why it's selling better than its rivals. It offers something... well, totally different, to say the least. So, before we look at this as a way to critique the Wii -- remember PS3 owners, that you just got the same junk that 360 owners had. :P
