Take out Metroid Prime 3 and R&C and the list is pretty legit.

And... World in Conflict? That's a big one, too.

Metroid and Ratchet should be off the list, 8.5 and 7.5 is not going to cut it. All the games that are not even reviewed yet should also be off the list till they get their review. I don't think Sigma has a shot at it since it's a port and Orange Box isn't all new, so I don't expect it to win either. I'd say BioShock, WIC and Halo 3 are the top 3 as of right now and I don't think it's going to be BioShock do to the lower score. So that leaves WIC and Halo 3 and my guess would be Halo 3 would beat WIC out if there isn't another game that comes along in the next few weeks.

P.S. I forgot GOW, I don't think it will win it either. Gears PC is also a no go.

MP3 is AAA in my book, one of the Wii's best games, if not the best... but the GOTY should be at least AAA.

They usually have a DS nominee, so add Phantom Hourglass to the list.

Also, World in Conflict deserves a spot, since it's one of the highest scoring games this year.

As of Right now Bioshock for me amazing game top to bottom.

But the most Underrated GOTY has gotta be God of War 2.

I played about 5 minutes of SMG today.

It was so good.

This is the Gamespot GOTY awards, so what does it matter if it scored worse eslewhere? If Gamespot loves it, then it has a chance of winning.

It won't get GOTY here, but IMO Metroid Prime 3 is the best game released thus far this year. Though I suppose Galaxy or Mass Effect could change my mind.

After seeing the 98% review from PC gamer on Crysis and Gamespot's "on the spot" pretty much praising the game while playing it, I'd say it's a very good contender for GOTY.3ggman

Crysis (demo is amazing)

(hoping SMG, CoD4, Mass Effect, and perhaps even Uncharted can get in the mix)

Notice I said so far and I'm only saying current gen GOTY's and no PC. I'm sure Galaxy, and Call of Duty 4 will be added. Maby Mass Effect and Uncharted too.meetroid8

RE4 won GOTY 2 years ago. The same game with new controls won't win GOTY again.

Probably none. But the way he was talking about Crysis in particular made it seem he wanted to marry the game.

This is a game of GOTY.... so why some games aren´t even out yet?? And why did you put Ratchet??? That game isn´t GOTY in PS3

Take off Orange Box, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and Ratchet and Clank.

None of those will win game of the year. Orange Box is a collection, and essentially a remake (for half the games), as is NGS. Ratchet and Clank flopped here.
