2008: Playstation 3 vs the PC/360/Wii

I think 2008 will either be the year of the PS3 or the year of the PC

The PC will have titles like Starcraft 2, Fallout 3, Alan Wake, Haze, Far Cry 2, Star Siege, Splinter Cell: Conviction, F.E.A.R 2 (hopefully) amongst others.

The PS3 will have Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, GT5, Tekken 6 and LittleBigPlanet amongst its key exclusives.

I think it's going to be a tough battle next year and I think both the 360 and Wii may lose ground. The 360 has a shortage of killer titles next year (Halo Wars, Alan Wake, Fable 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Banjo-Kazooie 3 being amongst the few platform exclusives) The rest of the big sellers that year for the 360, will be my opinion, multiplatform titles like UT 3, Fallout 3 and Haze (which will have appeared elsewhere)

As for the Wii, what titles are going to slay Killzone 2 and its PS3 buddies?

The PC will already have a Killzone 2 slayer this year in the shape of Crysis (which is graphically superior to Killzone 2 and will still be next year when Killzone 2 comes out) and even UT 3 on the PS3 looks (and will play) better than that game.

But next year, who knows?

you cant forget all the suprise titles pc gets every year that are shown at e3 then come out at the end of the year

btw whoever wins this holday season will gain massive support which will probly be the wii

what im saying is that its too early to predict anything for next year

Currently, the PS3 has a much better lineup in 2008 than either the 360 or the Wii. Of course, we have seen pretty much all Sony has to offer in 2008 at E3, so we'll just have to see if the 360 and Wii have anything to rebutt that with.Raidea

Well, the fact that PC has always been there and will always be there, the fact that it goes so much further than playing the games kinda makes it unfair for the systems to be compared. Also the other fact that you can make it as srtrong as you'd like.GIJesse77

PS3 let me down when most all their exclusives became multiplatform, and when their Killerapps skipped the year 2007 and have a release date of sometime 2008.

You guys should not even argue this, because there is a stickied thread about this topic. I have had out with casey with pc to console comparison, and pc I guess after what he has said is a console as well. So there for it is part of the battle between wii, ps3, and 360.
