[QUOTE="dream431ca"][QUOTE="Gh0st_Of_0nyx"][QUOTE="dream431ca"][QUOTE="Gh0st_Of_0nyx"] Again cow's thinking blu-ray will save the ps3
Not one game on it exclusive or multiplat has benefited from it so why do you guys keep hyping it ?
Gh0st_Of_0nyx
MGS4 and GT5 prologue have benefited from Blu-ray.
Umm by having more content and thats it the graphics arent boosted and the game dosent run any faster. MGS4 dosent even look better then COd4 or bioshock and those are multiplat.
Cow's have been tricked by thinking blu-ray means better games when it actually means longer dev time and maybe more content.
We haven't seen the final version of MGS4, so the graphics are unknown at this point. Blu-ray gives developers a lot more space for development. A huge plus for the PS3.
I higly doubt the final version of MGS4 is going to set a new bar for console graphics when it's released. And if blu-ray gives dev's alot more space then why are multiplats like oblivion and Burnout virtually the same on both consoles ? Shouldnt the ps3 version have more content because its disk is larger :? ya and tell me this why does a past generation or 2 past gens games have more features then one on a bigger disk or storage medium,,examples
perfect dark format cartridge
perfect dark zero -360 dvd disc
ya tell me whats so specal about blu-ray that wont be the reason for ps3 even passing the 360 i agree it will pass the 360 but what i dont agree is the disc format being the factor of it,,
n64 carts snes carts and nes carts are smaller even ps1 discs are smaller theres no denying fact in that but that doesnt mean a game like pd 64 had less then one on todays platforms,
goldeneye alone would prove that a n64 cart can hold enough levels and stuff ,, and it did, in fact theres only a few to actually have equal or more then it , and i wont give n64 examples as these are on cartridge as well
im gonna give examples of games that have gotten or has the same or more stuff in numbers
timesplittters series of games-ps2 xbox gamecube im talking fps games not other games racing games have always had alot to do in them ts is well known for being the first console fps to include a map maker something greatly appreaciated as if you got a lot of memory cards or an xbox ,, youll never have an excuse for not playing it make your own levels etc,
so im gonna ask why haven we seen an fps that has these key features
at least 20 big levels missions or what ever you like to call em
add to that 23 cheats to unlock pd and ts are known follow ups
loads of guns and characters
4 player splitscreen and some ai to boot
and exceptionally good graphics ,, i mean reasonablly good graphics
on a blu ray disc or 360 dvd or wii disc ,,, but weve seen em on n64 carts and gc /xbox ps2 dvds discs ,,
so saying blu-ray would be needed for this type of expeirence is already proved to be a lie so why use it as a factor in a console wars ,,
its not that big of a deal whether it used dvds or optical disc or compact disc as long as the game is fun i dont care and nor should you , what developer is gonna use blu-ray to its extent ,, i dont see one unless the games exclusive to ps3 thats a different story but a multiplatform game which alot of them are aint gonna be different because of a blu-ray disc
