BSO's Picks for Awesome Sleeper Titles of 2009:
Stoked: Big Air Edition
Take the solid foundation of the original game and polish it off to near snowboarding perfection. If you're a fan of the Amped titles (specifically 1 & 2), then Stoked: Big Air Edition is a must have game. New physics. Racing events. 2 new and huge mountains including K2 (7 in total). New visual effects. Groomed trails. Park objects. And better carving. This is Stoked making a statement.

Call of Juarez: Bound In Blood
Call of Juarez: Bound In Blood is the sequel to the sleeper known as Call of Juarez. Bound In Blood, however, is a vastly superior game with polished gameplay and visual presentation. The story is also a lot stronger here, as are the characters.

Sacred 2: Fallen Angel on consoles
After playing Sacred 2 on PC in 2008, I expected the console port to be pretty poor, but the whole thing worked well and looked damn good to boot. This is a fun and addictive adventure, but be warned that you won't give a **** about the story or its characters.

Torchlight
Torchlight is a Diablo clone. Let's just get the elephant out of the room. However, it's allowed to be, as Torchlight was developed by a bunch of ex-Diablo devs. It takes the addictive loot ***** collecting from the game's it inspires to be, and it does it all oh so beautifully. Give this cheap $20 game a download, you won't regret it.

Risen
Risen is basically Gothic 3 in a new setting, but don't let that scare you away. Piranha Bytes did a much better job with Risen. Nothing is broken, most of it is at least polished to the extent that it functions properly, the gameplay is fun and challenging, the atmosphere is immersive and beautiful, and the story/characters are very solid. There's even some great work here by Andy Serkis and others.

I have a bunch more, but these are the ones I will mention for now.
