2009 The Year of Playstation 3?

Now I am not saying PS3 didn't have a good year in 2008 but 2009 looks to top lets take a look at the games....

Sony has also said they still have unannounced titles to announce for 2009 so there's still more to look forward to. :D

Now I didn't even bring up the PSN titles or the big multiplatform titles like Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5, Call of Duty 6 and Tekken 6 and possibly Final Fantasy XIII....

PS3 had an awesome year last year I think Sony can have an even better one with these titles they have lined up for us. Not only that but if they do drop the price of PS3 next year(which I doubt) that would make things even more heated. It all starts off with Killzone 2. With early impressions from beta players to the media to early reviews of the game everyone seems to love it. I would love it if anyone could post a equally compelling lineup of games for the Xbox 360 or Wii. LOL

where are people getting the information that M.A.G. is coming out in 2009, there is no source that says so and there is no way that they would be able to make it by 2009 (even if they do a crappy job)ULTIMATEZWARRIO

What is it with PS3 fanboys and their obsession with "This year will be the year of the PS3!" statement?

I guess they just try to reassure themselves when they look at PS3 sales.

2009 doesnt look as promising as It did Once in terms of Exclusives for the Ps3, you listed 3 big ones KZ,WKC and GT5. The rest looks fine but nothing I'd hold my breath forAgentA-Mi6

I can not fathom how or why people can stick to the same argument over and over and over and over.

200X is the year of PS3 soon to be 201X is the year of PS3.

It wasn't the year of PS3 last year nor was it the year of the PS3 the prior year.

So RENEGADE why do you keep making the same predictions every single year? And why don't you just use your RENEGADE account? Its not banned? Why post as Jakari and claim not to be RENEGADE?

2009 hasn't been confirmed, but the arcade release wasn't too long ago (in the U.S. too!), so I can't imagine a console port being too far off.

Redwood Falls, if I remember correctly, was supposed to be some psychological thriller set in a rural town. What I remember of it looked like crap, and I also thought it was for the 360, but it's fallen completely off the map either way.

Yes, this is the same Screen Digest that projected that the PlayStation 3 would dominate, with the Wii slipping to third by 2010. That was extremely early in this console generation and, obviously, things have changed. Kotaku

Yes. Ark System Works isn't Namco though. They released Battle Fantasia in timely fashion, so there's no reason they can't do the same with BlazBlue. It's not a sure thing, but the possibility is certainly there.

I just checked it myself and it says TBA 2009. I wouldn't expect it to lag to far behind Champions Online either, which has a Q2 release date. At this point, DCUO has a better chance of appearing next year than MAG, which is on your list. Just my two cents, though.

Yup analyst are always right man. I mean the PS3 is the best selling console and the Wii is in dead last. Oh wait.....Seriously how many times have analyst been wrong?

• They thought DS wouldn't be that great
• They thought PSP would be overly successful
• They thought PS3 would dominate
• They thought Wii wouldn't do well
• They didn't think 360 would be ahead of the PS3

You forgot 3 BIG games!

FFXIII(yes it will also come to the 360 but most likely it will be in 2010 and the PS3 will get it first as a timed exclusive)

FFvXIII WOW another BIG game

God of War 3 Probabably the biggest game of this year if it manages to come out at least in Q4.

So there you have it, these games are not even 10% of what the PS3 has to offer in games this year. These 3 games are worth purchasing a PS3 for specially against the 360 which only has a 5 hour 20$ new Halo game and the multiplatform PC game Alan Wait. gg the console war will be over this year, you did it again Sony.
