DLC or not, the xbox 360 gets another AAA game:
yeah The Ballad Of Gay Tony got 9.2 on IGN and 90 on Metacritic so far.
Shadow Complex + Halo 3: Odst + FM3 + The Ballad of Gay Tony.

This topic is locked from further discussion.
Being a 360 owner, and looking at previous 360 years, I would have to disagree.
The DLC addition is nice, but then you may as well do that for the other consoles. It doesn't change the scope of what we gamed through this year.
Plus, it is really okay for gamers to swallow that for the Majority of 2009, was no good for exclusives, but thanks to the tail end of the year, 2009 suddenly turns good?
No, I'm not going to spin this for M$. If we speak up and don't do their PR for them, we will see better years due to our voices, just like we complained at Sony back in 2007. Companies hear us.

If you guys suddenly think that this was a good year for exclusives, well, then expect more years like this. It's up to you guys. I'm not going to lie though.

No, it wasn't a bad year by any means. It just seems that way cause the PS3 had such an outstanding year. Still, no cause for alarm.
However, I do feel that ODST was horribly overrated. Single player was nice, but so short and firefight was cool for a while, but a four hour SP and a firefight mode don't make a worthy purchase to me.

How do you figure?
Pretending that MGS4 was Da Killa Ap, which I can play along for you since it was PS3's first AAAAE at GS that means about one year (European Gamespotters) to about 1.5 years (U.S. Gamespotters).
Did you fall for some Lemming Hardcore Propaganda and no one corrected it? I remember people lying in SW a few days and weeks ago, and instead of correcting them I kicked back and enjoyed the lulz.
Now I sense though, in your post that you mean what was said earlier in the month, which means that the funny early PS3 slander passed around rubbed off, right?
Well, I'm trying to get a bearing, so let me in on the lulz.

And? The point remains that Gamespot does review DLC for the PS3--why there's no reviews for DLC for PC and PS3 on Fallout 3, the only assumption that can be made is that they haven't received a review copy/code to download for them.
Nevertheless, Gamespot isn't one to be consistent regardless on many regards. Review scoring and timing of reviews comes to mind.
I agree it wasn't that bad, but with everybody comparing it to the PS3's 4 AAA exclusives and what not it's hard to stick out.

You know how deadly Microsoft is on top :) be happy that they have concurency like PS3 to think about.
Not terrible overall including everything but not good either. Mediocrity is the word. Then again, every system has been mediocore exclusive wise this year except maybe the DS.

Exactly my point, the ps3 are getting loads of good exclusives now (like demon's Souls and R&C) but back in 2006-7-early 8, the only worth playing games to be found was close to none, resistance and motorstorm were more or less average launch titles, uncharted 1 just a downright PR techdemo (IMO, so don't bring out the flamethrowers)
On the otherhand, the 360's lineup were strong back in 2006-7-8 with both Gears of war 1 & 2, dead rising, ace combat, halo 3, Forza 1 & 2, Mass Effect etc. sure it may not have as big of a line up now, but it already got a solid liberay of exclusives to back it up.

Half of those games aren't even that great.:|You know something is wrong when Resistance is the highest rated one.

So, you deliberately lied to make a point?
It didn't take 2.5 years, it took 1-1.5 years depending on what region you live in.
The PS3's first year was 2007, it only launched at the end of 2006. So obviously it couldn't release games all year in 2006. In Europe, the PS3 came out in 2007.

4AAAE, 1AAE, and 1 AE for the whole year especially when 2 thirds of that list cam in the last 3 months is mediocore. That's six games. Please, I live in a world where I do more with numbers than look at them and say "hey, its bigger so it must be good!!!!" It was Mediocore. So was the Wii, 360 and PC. Also, the PC has had4 AAAE games in one year before.

2.5 years is wrong. So if you aren't lying on purpose, you're still lying by accident. No one forced you to make that declaration.
So it's either a deliberate miscalculation for the sake of a point, or incorrect bunk basic math for the sake of a point.

Ok, four if you don't count MLB09... but considering the massive difference between the PS3 and PS2/PSP versions, it practically is an exclusive (though I won't argue the point because people will start freaking out if I dare question the SW rules).

Lie is probably too strong a word. Maybe more like an exhaggeration. Besides, I loved Ratchet TOD and Uncharted in 2007; this site may not have rated them AAA but plenty of others did. Not that any of that matters of course in SW, but it is worth mentioning, and even though they weren't blockbusters in sales the way Gears and Halo are, that does not diminish the quality in the least. Some of the best games ever released don't sell well (see Okami).

Not really, more like having more content and better tech doesn't change the game itself. By all means they are the same game. Superior Multiplat? Yes. Exclusive? No it can be played else where. Not a hard concept.

People in SW were actually lying and saying 2.5 years a few days ago, and a few weeks ago. I think you may have actually believed their lies, or somehow got caught up in their same basic mathematics problem.I thought it was a joke back then, so I didn't post anything, but today you said it matter of factly, so I knew that the joke was not becoming a reality to SW posters.
1 year and 8 monthish, that's close to 1 1/2 years, way off. Still, I don't know how you came to that same bunk 2.5 year math, but just be on the lookout for those that would lie to make a point. If it wasn't deliberate, my guess is someone else got ya.
I see it all the time here, like MvC2 coming only to XBLA, etc.
I'm glad that all SW readers in this thread can learn here today though. :P
