this year ps3 came out wit some nice games ie. killzone2, inFamous, DS, and upcoming U2. 360 had odst, upcoming L4D2 and F3(which should be released in 2010 to compete directly wit GT5. In 2010, it looks like 360 gona nab it. Alan Wake, splinter cell conviction(I DONT CARE IF SOME GON COME Out ON PC 360 versions are better and theres live and controller not wat the computer nerds use mouse and keyboard real skill involves using analog sticks, anyone can point and click it just doesnt feel right and I use my computer for other stuff so controllers>mouse+keyboard) anyway theres ME2, loved 1st one, Halo Reach which will be best halo game(better than halo ce it's on more powerful hardware) and will use new engine so better graphics, then Crackdown 2! I dont know why some ppl hated first 1 it was great!! And Im not sure if fable 3 will come out 2010. Ps3 has coming out GOW3!! mag, heavy rain, I think r&c, then some unheard of onz llike eyepets WTF is it like neopets? Anyway, pretty much only Gow3 is gona be good, not intrested in others, does mag have anything other than just team deathmatch, cuz if it is, im not getting it. 360 has sequels to really good games in 2010. even tho im realy hyping Gow3, most games most games r either new franchises or shovelware. So it seems like I'll be picking up my ps3 controller more often and next year 360 will get turned on more

I have barely played my 360 since I bought it but ME2, Crackdown 2, Halo Reach (my first Halo, better blow me away), and Splinter Cell all look great. The PS3 has just as much with God of War 3, Resistance 3, and Heavy Rain. The ammount of playtime will be split 49-49-2. My wii may get a little bit of playing.
Halo Reach + Project Natal = Winner year. Not to mention Fable III, Crackdown 2, Splinter Cell Conviction, Mass Effect 2 (PC), and Alan Wake. Glad to see MS stepping it up
2010 going to be like 2008. Both 360 and PS3 have great games coming to them, with the "winner" only winning by a hair or too little to even really decide. As a whole gamers win, but lose all their money.:P

They're not eliminated, they're just multiplats. They count just as much as games that are on the 360 and PS3. Multiplats are multiplats. Neither faction can use them against each other, because when it comes down to it you don't need that console to play those games.

2010 is on track to be one of the best years of gaming ever. If starcraft 2 and diablo 3 comes out in the same year I don't think my head will be able to take it. :?

Dude, ok, whatever, but you and i know that not everyone who owns a PS3 has a gaming PC, not everyone in general has a PC capable of running games as much as they say they do.. Im not discounting the PC at all here, im just saying that it doesnt hurt anyone that these games are on PC, even if they are labeled as multiplat here, they still deserve to be mentioned. I agree that they should not be mentioned in EXCLUSIVE debates, but fanboys try to discount them, and say "x game is a multiplat" as if the 360 or PS3 (depending on the game) would lose a bullet point, when fact is, those games STILL count, they are STILL part of the library, and are STILL not available on one console. The VAST majority of gamer.........are console gamers, as evident by software sales in general. Chances are, if you are a PC gamer, you really dont want, or need a weak console in your home when you can run games at 1200p+. I found out the hard way that im not a PC gamer. I built one, and now dont even play it, my consoles get way more play than that thing because id rather sit in front of a 60" 1080p TV, than a 24in monitor.

I think the PS3 started out slow in 2006 and 2007, then started to pick up in 2008, is doing well this year and will probably snowball for the rest of the generation.

well, i think PS3 OWNED this year lol, hands down. But i think next year is alot close, and i prefer the 360 lineup more. Not really alot can top Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake, and Conviction IMO, the only PS3 games im getting so far are the GoW collection, GoW3, Heavy Rain, and Uncharted 2. But thats just my opinion.

Yeah, I just didn't want to make too bold a statement, but in the back of my mind, I think at this point there is no stopping the PS3 from taking this gen, despite the slow start in 2006 and 2007.

honestly i dont see crackdown 2 being a great game ..Mass Effect 2 will be awesome(but its coming to pc ), as for Splinter cell is just a average game.. PS3 got killer exclusive games when you try to compare it to the 360 line up..I wouldnt be suprise if more games pop up in 2010 for the PS3..
People who claim that the PS3 won the year are about as bright as people who claim that the 360 won in 07. The 360 had some great games; the PS3 had some great games. Personally I feel that the year was better for the 360. I loved all the 360 exclusives. Didnt really put in any of my ps3 exclusives at all. So its all up to personal opinion. Really, every year of the ps3 vs. 360 is a good year for the gamer.
to bad mass effect 2 and splinter cell don't count how ever you try and spin it. the previous splinter cells and every ubi game has worked natively with a controller so you really have no argument there. so there is alan wake and another halo the poor man's gta4 and maybe fable 3 and gears 3 that's nothing special. your list only looked decent when you tried to use pc games.
