2010: A good year for the Wii?

And so the question stands. Will 2010 be a good year for the Wii?

NOTE: I'm too lazy to list all of the games coming out in 2010 for the Wii. If someone else wants too, then they're free to post them.

If all the games that have been announced for '010 do indeed come out then I believe the Wii is going to have a year like no other :D

It has a lot of games I'm looking forward to, so I hope it's a good year for the Wii. I hope it's a good year for all the consoles. That's just how I roll.

Yeah, I agree. I am pretty sure Super Mario Galaxy 2 will come out next year but I think Zelda and Other M could still suffer delays.

I just did a thread on this yesterday. Everyone voted on who would have the best 2010! To my huge surprise, Nintendo won! Sony was a close second and only lost by 4 votes. Microsft on the other hand...lost by like 20. Poor Micro...

SMG2 has been confirmed to be 95% new, and the other 5% will be levels that were in the first one, but with a few tweaks.

It's not like we will know what is new stuff, and what is recycled stuff anyways. It'll all be new from our perspectives.

Looks like a good year indeed. Metroid Other M, Fragile, and Sin & Punishment 2 are must-buy for me, while I keep a eye out on a few others, like Red Steel 2, No More Heroes 2, and Super Mario Galaxy 2.

In a sense, yeah it is. I could only hope there are some real differences. Not to mention that gravity was the big pull of the last game. Gravity again can pretty much be milking. It shouldn't be too bad but, unless you love the first, the sequel has no real value beyond being more of the same.sonicthemegaman

They don't have another franchise that sells like Mario when it comes to their entire audience. Zelda does not sell well, Metroid does not sell well, nothing else they own sells well as Mario

Apples and oranges

God of War is telling a story through many games. They started a path and put one part of that story in their first game then waited and improved the engine and moves and released another part of the story.

God of War needs to stay on one track or it's complete crap in the story department. Since it's planned out in advance it also needs to come out in a timely fashion, you can't release part one of the story and 5 years later expect the same audience to show up again plus extras

Mario on the other hand has no story. His games have him against Bowser trying to save the princess of one thing or another

Last game he was on vacation and the next one he's in a space. There's no connection at all, there's no story that has to be followed closely

Just give me No More Heroes 2,Metroid: Other M,and Super Mario Galaxy 2,and I'll be set for the whole year.

I never said I was just fine with three games for the entire year; I just want those games the most.

Content not being included in the first game does not inherently make the content itself of lower or inferior quality.Perhaps the levels just didn't match the certain type of platforming that the first game has,but were still quality levels in their own right.Or perhaps they had to cut the levels out because of time constraints.

The entire "Galaxy" concept opens an entire world of possibilities for what the developers can do; I don't see what's wrong with it.

Yeah i was like...WTF? When the poll first started, Sony was in first, Nintendo was in second, Microsoft was in a close 3rd. I was thinking, Microsoft will pass Nintendo anytime. To my surprise, nintendo votes just started pooring in. When Sony and Nintendo were even, i was like HOLY *&%@! Then after that, Microsoft got like no votes, and it was a duel between Nintendo and Sony the rest of the time. Nintendo would be ahead one vote, then Sony. Then eventually Nintendo got one vote ahead, then two, then it just skipped to four. And it stayed in that range. Every Sony vote, seemed to be accompanied by a Nintendo. It was very surprising.
