You can't fit everything in a game. SMG had a good 15-20 hours of platforming perfection crammed onto that disk. Like any other game, the devs were bound to have ideas that they couldn't fit into the game before release.

If devs tried to fit every idea and beta tested idea into the final product, the game would never get released.

Gears of War 2 was released that week while several of those Wii games have been on the charts for over a year. Also, EVERY SINGLE GAME? Are you just trying to annoy us? It was beaten by both Monster Hunter 3 and Wii Sports Resort and several DS games.

Every game has ideas that are not properly tested before hand, or don't quite make it out of the concept stage.

Unless the devs are miracle workers who can program in new ideas faster than they can think them up, they're never going to be able to fit everything they test out.

It doesn't matter how long the dev cycle is, it's just reality that some things will get left out of a game not because they aren't good, but because the devs simply couldn't fit it in.

If my backlog significantly reduces by 2010, il probably get a Wii. It is looking very good.

I would have to also agree with Jasonguy. Im not saying anything about the quality of the games but hes right in what he saying abour Mario, hence why we were shown 2 mario games this E3.

I also have a feeling that Nintendo games may not be what we were expecting. Because everyone is rushing Nintendo, we want more core games etc etc the second one comes out. So instead of taking the time to release a game the developers originally desired, they may instead release something more akin to SMG2, just to get it out because everyones rushing them (like i said before, im not speaking about the quality because it can still be amazing).

Will see if this is true when the next Zelda comes out because thats DEFINATELY been rushed by the fans. I dont think it will be anywhere near the impact of Wind Waker where Nintendo made their game.

This isnt just limited to Nintendo but overall, what im saying is that i think a developer makes a better game when they do it from their vision instead of looking at what fans want and trying to satisfy them (fans dont even know what they want), If that happens, we end up with twilight princess which is amazing, but just doesnt have the magic.

In SMG, you have to take into account the gravitational pull of the objects around you. What this means is that you will be platforming upside down, on the side, etc.

You stated that Bioshock is "worthy of becoming Game of the Year." But who actually won GOTY from most gaming sites? SMG. That is a fact.

Lastly, over 8 million people bought SMG, so who is getting left behind again?

Ha Pwned. Though GoW is I gues a good game based off reviews. Though Mario just has the "IT" factor. it is a great platform game with puzzles and is great. GoW is just really mindless hacking to me. Sorry to burst your bubble but maybe 9 out of 10 people would say Mario is better then GoW

I don't care what a game does to a mediocre series. The games but then were a blast. Now, it's for people who will buy a game if it just says Mario on it. Please save me how the the game utilizes the Wii's power or whatever. Big deal it still has inferior graphics. Yes, your damn right I want my games to look good. Not a big issue though. God of War story is based on Greek mythology but makes it's own story revolving around them. If you wanted story you shouldn't have gotten into it. We all know how lame it is to save the princess from bowser a million times. Mario will probably still use the same save the princess thing we have seen many, many times before. I'm not going to go in depth about God of War because anyone with a brain will tell you it's better than a mario game and then it will become into a Mario vs God of War which isn't right, regardless of what you think is better. Again, you use the gravity thing. Big deal, there is gravitational pull. That is exactly how I judge my games before I buy them, whether or not it has gravitational pull. In SMG, you have to take into account the gravitational pull of the objects around you. What this means is that you will be platforming upside down, on the side, etc.

Hate to burst your bubble, but GOWs story is as much recycled as Marios. The Theme of Revenge has been used, How many times? Mario doesn't need a story because it's not based on that. You used the media too so dont go there :P Who said, Bishock won many GOTY blah blah blah. If a game sells a lot, then it means it pleases a wide audience. Mario does, Wii Sports does, even GTA does. I know as many little kids that play GTA as adults. Same goes for Halo and COD.

Although you have a valid point, Jason, about Mario selling strongly and Nintendo needing that heavy hitter to sell Wii's, you're jumping the gun with you're statements about the quality of Zelda Wii or Mario Galaxy 2.

No way. My Wii is collecting dust right now. There is just too many games coming out for PS3 this and next year.
