2011 was the year of the 360.

Lets look at the facts, we have the highest rated of any exclusive, have the superior version of the most multiplats, and had the highest selling software sell the most on the platform (MW3).

So in essence the 360 won this year software wise as far as I am concerned.

Skyward Sword is AE ( I love the art style and consider it to be great but here it is AE). 9.5> 9.0 so Gears of War 3 > Uncharted 3.

Not to mention that I think Gears 3 is the better game when compared to those two titles (fantastic experience but not fantastic replay value).

Skyward Sword is AE ( I love the art style and consider it to be great but here it is AE). 9.5> 9.0 so Gears of War 3 > Uncharted 3.

Not to mention that I think Gears 3 is the better game when compared to those two titles (fantastic experience but not fantastic replay value).

It's GS score fell below the official hype. In this case, Forza was hyped AAAE (9.0-9.5) and scored AAE (8.5). It doesn't mean the games are bad, just that they flopped.

Um, sorry no, this was the year of the PS3. There were two core exclusives released for the 360, and while they were both great it didn't compare to PS3's wide variety of exclusives and constant streamline of them. And while people laugh at the 7.5 infamous2 2 got, or the 8.5 Killzone 3 got, those were still excellent addition's to the ps3's library, ps3's 2011 year is almost comparable to 360's 2007.

lololololol we got 1 high scoring game meanwhile all the other platforms have several more high scoring but ours is the highest so that makes up the lack of games derp!

You know something's wrong when one high rated game and a remake of a ten year old game is considered a stellar year.

I wouldn't call what you did proving something. You called something trash in retaliation, essentially asking for someone to reply with "Two wrongs don't make a right". You didn't even allude to the fact that you were doing it sarcastically to show how wrong they were.

I gave up on them after so many problems..but lets face it...MS 360 is the new PS2 this gen. Its absolutely killed everything else as far as popularity goes..I dont know really anyone that games on PS3 and most people dont take the Wii seriously "which is ok its doing its own thing"

It certainly done well. Looking at total sales shows how pretty even the 360 and PS3 have become.

That being said, the attach rate on the 360 has been consistently higher.

Well lets see...it gets all the multiplat games..it gets games from pc..it has downloadable games and it has its own 1st party games...so ..yes it has games just like PS3,Wii and PC..kind of a silly question fella..:)

Let me ask you this. How do you rate hype? And scoring 0.5-1.0 "lower" than expected is not a flop. Underachieving would probably be a better word. But it's all meaningless anyways. GiantAssPanda

Hype is rated from official hype threads. It goes like this:

• AAAA
• AAA
• AA
• A

You choose based on what you think GS will score it. Majority is the hype. If it scores less it is a "flop". It doesn't mean it's a bad score, it's just that it didn't meet hype. No need to get so flustered over it.
