2011, Year of Fighting Games (56K??? Nah, not that much)

Well, ok, maybe i'm overreacting a little, but still, next year looks awesome for fighting fans, which one are you more excited about?

Marvel vs Capcom 3

The long awaited third part is finally here, with lots of new characters, the gameplay looks as sick as always and overall it seems like another win in the VS series.

On the bad side, i kind of miss the old 2D sprites, besides no Gambit and no Jill is a huge letdown for me.

The King of Fighters XIII

I love this franchise with passion, is no doubt my favorite fighting series ever, after a disappointing XII version, this one seems much better, the roster looks much more appealing and the core gameplay seems to be even better than XII (only good quality of that game), i really cannot wait for this, behind Zelda and Portal 2, this is my most hyped game of 2011.

On the bad side, the roster is still lackluster and small (No Vanessa, no Mary), besides, if the online is bad, it will kill the game for me and many others.

Mortal Kombat 9

I'll be honest here, i've never been a Mortal Kombat fan, i liked 1 and 2, but after that, the series went down hill pretty bad, and my hype for this game is 0, however, i understand that lots of fighting fans are really excited for this game, specially after that MKvsDC fiasco.

On the bad side, well, the gameplay and most of the characters are unappealling to me, however, that's just me.

Anyway, which one are most hyped for?

BTW, Does anyone knows if Continuum Shift 2 it's coming to consoles???

I agree, I'm really excited for MVC3!!! Wessker, Dante and Okami ftw!

SF X Tekken all the way. TvC played too close to Smash Bros for me and this is being said to be heavily in that direction. I'm interested to see how well SF X Tekken turns out and hoping for something like Capcom Vs SNK.

Jill is in MvC3, but she's a DLC character.

i cant wait for kof 13 and mvc 3. im dying to play with Kim, Benimaru , Yuri , King , Andy , Mai , K, dang i cant wait to play with all of them lol. oh and i also wanna play as zero and deadpool in mvc 3 lol

If KOF XIII gets a decent score then I'll pay attention to it.

Personally, 2010 was the year of the fighter for me because of SSFIV. Secondly, I am looking forward to MvC3. Capcom is smart. SFIV is very similar to SFIII with 3d graphics. I have a feeling MvC3 will be the same thing. I am not a fan of DLC for fighters but maybe it can be to a fan's advantage? Perhaps they'll hold polls for a most desired added character.

MvC3. Never played the predecessors, but DeadPool, and the okami thing in there is a win!

I recently bought MvC2 from the PSN Store, only to find out that the game sucks on consoles... man, I can't do my kick ass combos, so I'm pretty worried about MvC3 now.

P.S. I can't even do the Raging Demon, and I NEVER had problems before with that move... not even while playing SFIV, so it's definitely the game, not the controller.

The year of fighters is really this year: Super Street Fighter IV, Blazeblue: Continuum Shift, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, and Ultimate Ninja Storm 2.

King of Fighters has pretty much been a dead franchise, I do hope it makes a comeback but it won't be this one. Mortal Combat more or less in the same boat, so not really holding my breath on it going beyond the novelty factor.

True, SSF4 has been really good, but personally, if KOF XIII delivers a good online, it will be the best fighter.

I have a feeling that Aksys will localize it, it's the only reason why I'm waiting to preorder a copy.
