I'm not wishing it not comes out but I promise you just look at the time it takes ps4 games to come out you see a better trailer and some game some gameplay but no hands on, the game wont come out next year. And even if you do see tomb raider a year after will be a waste

You might want to take a look at who had the CGI trailers at this years E3. Uncharted 4 actually has a 2015 release date unlike the majority of exclusives I see lems throwing on their lists. The game will have been in development for 4 years when it releases. It's following Naughty Dog's regular schedule of gameplay reveal this December, more at E3, and a release later that year. Since 2005, Naughty Dog has released a game every 2 years, 2015 is up next.

On the other hand I see lems using games like Crackdown, Scalebound, and Gears 4 for 2015. The first 2 have only had CGI trailers, there is no word on any release date from Microsoft with the only release date being from the pre-E3 leaker saying they are 2016 games. Gears on the other hand hasn't even been officially announced and has been in development for like 6 months.

Sony actually plans on showing things closer to release this gen than they did last gen. They don't want things like The Last Guardian, GT5, and Killzone 2 to repeat again where people wait 5+ years. We've already seen this with them announcing Bloodborne at last years E3 and it will release less than a year after that. The longest wait will be 2 years after a game has been announced.

Why would tomb raider be a waste a year after? It's still a game that PC and PS4 owners will get to play.

Homestly, I'll believe it when I see it. Gaming felt very uninspired this year. To me anyway....

Anything is better than the dismal year 2014 turned out to be (across the board).

I wouldn't call it dismall at all.

Dark Souls 2, Divinity Original Sin, Bayonetta 2, Super Smah Bros, Mario Kart 8, Shadow of Mordor, Forza Horizon 2 (haven't played yet), Dragon Age Inquisition (haven't played yet, but looks good).

Last years was probably better with games like The Stanley Parable, Metal Gear Rising, Bioshock Infinite, etc, but this year hasn't been that bad.

  • The Order: "cinematic game"
  • Bloodbourne: not interested
  • Uncharted 4: people are not tired of this Indy rip-off cinematic bullshit yet?
  • Gran Turismo 7: skeptical.
  • Multiplats: are best on PC.

I've had this discussion before. Those exceptions weren't enough to save the entire year for me and I have access to all of them (save for racing since I dislike that genre).

This year was awful....but I suppose I'm old and jaded and not excited by cookie cutter designs that I used to get pumped for. I've lived through actual kick ass years like 1998, 2001, 2005, etc. The corporations just got too greedy with the annual games, using the same game engines, pumping out HD ports/remasters and cross gen multiplats (games shackled to last gen game design and assets)...it's just not exciting. Not to mention the record amount of half baked games (good and bad games) that shipped with bugs and glitches.

Perhaps the question is, what is a bad gaming year? It's just entertainment. There is bound to be SOME good games released every year, so what makes a bad gaming year? Comparisons to previous years. This year falls short in that regard. 2013 wasn't a FANTASTIC YEAR, but even you admit 2013 was better. That's rough for 2014 and I felt it all year (save for the brief exceptions you noted and a few others you did not). I saved A LOT OF MONEY not having to buy software this year, and I have a hefty budget for buying games every year.

Let's see how confident you are it's not coming in 2015. All my proof from the previous post and pretty much every site and the trailer saying 2015 vs your hope. Let's make a bet on whether in comes in 2015 or not. Whoever loses has to leave Gamespot.

lol one new IP, a few sequels and the others are just multiplats that will look better on PC.

Even the new IP is just a linear corridor shooter. This so-called new Gen needs a good kick in the pants.

Uncharted 4 could be great but will sink if they try to give it a darker tone.

I wanna play Rime, it looks fantastic. Bloodborne is a day one buy, and this coming out a month after Witcher 3 is perfect. Something tells me UC4 will get pushed back to 2016. The Order 1886 I have no idea what to expect from it 'cause all the shit they've shown thus far looks downright mediocre. The Tomorrow Children doesn't look like my type of game, but I can see a lot of other gamers supporting it. Everybody's Gone To The Rapture has me interested to see more of it. Until Dawn looks like it'll be complete trash, and I couldn't give a damn about another Gran Turismo game.

MGSV was going to finally put my PS4 to work in 2015, but that's a definite PC buy now.

Bloodborne certainly has my interest though. Uncharted 4? I'll probably pick it up just for the spectacle. Is GT7 actually confirmed for 2015? That's something I could really get into, I skipped GT6.

Bloodborne is literally the only console game I need to have. Sure there's some other titles coming out that look interesting but that one is my reason for picking up a 8th gen console.

So you don't want to take the bet? Not hard to find a site that says it's coming in 2015.

http://www.playstation.com/en-us/games/uncharted-4-a-thiefs-end-ps4/

http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2014/11/20/uncharted-1-first-party-franchise-uncharted-4-will-highlight-2015-says-playstation-australia-md/

http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/uncharted-4-release-date-news-rumours-gameplay-and-trailers-round-up

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/uncharted-4-news-coming-very-soon/1100-6422839/

Studio head Evan Wells says the PlayStation 4 game is "coming along nicely" and teases an imminent reveal.

"It’s coming along nicely," Wells said about Uncharted 4. "We've been hard at work since E3 and all I can say is that we'll be having some stuff to show you very soon."

"How soon?" Wells replied: "Very."

The game is expected to launch sometime in 2015 running at 1080p/60fps, and it could be accompanied by Uncharted remasters for PS4.

Your turn, give me one credible site that says it's coming in 2016. A link would be nice with Naughty Dog saying the game is still far away, since you said you believe them.

There's absolutely no reason to believe this isn't launching in 2015. 4 year dev time, fits with Naughty Dog's schedule of a game every 2 years since 2005, we're getting a gameplay reveal in December, with more at E3 and a release later that year like every Naughty Dog game these past few years. You can believe what you want, but it's coming in 2015 unless you post proof but I don't think that'll be happening.

The creator says it's coming in 2015 or 2016. 2015 seems possible but I'd say 2016 to avoid disappointment. We'll probably hear about it at Playstation Experience. Dev times will be shorter for the PS4 than they were for the PS3.

Yep, gonna be another crap year for Ps4. Possibly worse than the "no show" 2014.

The only game I'm looking forward to is Uncharted 4 and the Treyarch iteration of CoD's game. I'm sure I'll be still playing Destiny as well.

So only three exclusives for the entire 2015, from which only Bloodborne and Uncharted look interesting...and you call it promising ? Cows have their expectations really low now.

PS. Are you sure Uncharted is to be released in 2015 and not in 2016 ?

@kratosyoloswag: Just be prepared to be disappointed you will see Uncharted remake but you wont see 4 next year or GT7 none of that came from ND all speculation from guessing and hand me down info but don't worry we will continue this after the ps4 experience in Dec but lets make a different bet because that one so lame and old.

Out of all the exclusives we've seen so far, only Bloodborne will likely be remotely good. Uncharted 4 will sell like nuts but likely won't be that great. The Order is going to get a 5 for sure and yet another Gran Turismo, *yawn*.

I doubt 2015 is going to be good for the PS4 nor the Xbone.

People are forgetting no man sky, tomorrow children, Gran Turismo 7, witness, wild, and more that will be unveiled at PS experience. Add in the likely master class titles Uncharted 4 and Bloodborne. Ps4 by FAR has the best lineup in 2015. Fact

Tomorrow Children looks cool, thanks for the reminder. Also, Rime looks promising as well. Of course, they are indies, and don't count to some people. Xbox has Ori and the Blind Forest, which looks beyond incredible.

I've noticed that, and it's ridiculous. A game doesn't have to have hollywood level production to be a great game. I'm currently having a lot of fun with Velocity 2X, and Resogun is excellent too. It was one of the reasons I felt ready to get a PS4 last December, and both games have been a nice change for me. Last week I finished Wolfenstein: The New Order (great game) on the PS4, which runs really well, and is the nicest looking game I've played, but it seems that couldn't count as a game to some here because it's a multiplat on a console. Crazy.

I doubt GT7 is a 2015 release, and I wouldn't be surprise of UC4 is pushed to early 2016. Order and Bloodborne both look great though. I hope Sony has something up their sleeve that they'll announce at PS Experience for Q4 next year. If they give us an UC4 release day I'd be stoked.

The only exclusive that will probably be good is Uncharted and I doubt it will come out next year. The others look kinda meh.

Lems surely live in denial.. they honestly believe X1 had so much more to offer in 2014 lol

I'm not saying PS4 had an amazing year (far from it), however lems need to stop posting crap how X1 games library is superior cause it is not and 2015 doesn't look like it will be any better !!

GT7 is a big maybe. But the other 3 big exclusives yes. Now its the time when PS4 will get its true games. I think though there will be more... something big will be out next year we will soon hear about...

So four exclusives and then TC quickly results to multiplats.

Yep, gonna be another crap year for Ps4. Possibly worse than the "no show" 2014.

Fanboy Troll alert.

The only game I'm looking forward to is Uncharted 4 and the Treyarch iteration of CoD's game. I'm sure I'll be still playing Destiny as well.

Denial Alert!!!!

If you are only looking forward to two games then your 2015 is complete. The facts I stated elude you anyway. Have fun in 2015, I know your compatriots won't.

I dunno, Naughty Dog are talented developers no doubt, and if i recall correctly they're aiming for 1080/60 on Uncharted 4, which is something i never expected them to do. I have no interest in Uncharted or Bloodborne, but they look like they will be solid, and i can see them being exclusives worth purchasing the console for other people.

The Order does indeed look like a mediocre piece of shit, they seem to have put priority on the graphics and forgot to do anything with the gameplay. As for the 7th iteration of Gran Turismo? Lol, no thanks.

Overall Bloodborne & Uncharted 4, coupled with multiplats such as Persona 5, Batman: Arkham Knight, Mortal Kombat X, The Witcher 3 and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain makes 2015 a good year for the PS4 in my book.

Have you played the Uncharted games? I couldn't even get halfway through the first game without getting bored. The second game was fun but highly underwhelming. And the third game I didn't bother with since most people consider it inferior to the second.

Sure, UC4 will likely be "solid" but it will also likely be very much like every other Naughty Dog effort where the Sony and Naughty Dog fanboys ride it like the second coming, and everyone else goes "yeah, it's good, but could be so much better".

Personally, I can't see why, in this day and age of cheap PC hardware, how multiplats can even be considered when trying to determine the quality of a console's overall lineup and value. Almost every (pretty much except for Ubisoft games) multiplat game is either better, or substantially better on PC, making owning it on a console seem not worth it. And to anyone who says "bu.. but... one platform!" I say, whomever says they "play games, not scores" would be interested in quality exclusives wherever they exist, and own the platform on which they are played on... making a quality gaming PC part of their lineup.

Nope, and i don't plan to, but i was thinking about The Last of Us wen i was mentioning Naughty Dog to have plenty of talent. Haven't played that one either, but judging from what i've heard and seen, it seems to be better than the Uncharted formula and a step forward for Naughty Dog.

Can't see Naughty Dog ignoring everything they've learned with TLoU and not improving upon Uncharted with this entry. Considering that they're aiming for 60 FPS, that leads me to believe that they want to make the game fun to play rather than fun to look at.

I agree, and i always judge a console's worth based on the number of quality exclusives. But in the end people make a choice based on what they're most comfortable with, not based on what's superior.

That's why so many people bought Skyrim for the 360. They don't care that the PC version is infinitely better, because that's what they're comfortable spending money on, whether the 360 is their main platform, or they bought it for collecting purposes or whether they're ignorant about the PC version, etc., that depends on the person.

Then when 2015 happens and all the broken games start pouring in, then it will be "wait for 2016".

Well it will be wait for 2016 for every one since games on all platforms this year have come in broken shape..

I can take my flops like a man unlike some users on here that go running back to MC when their game flops. I hyped the MCC a 9, it got a 6, it flopped. I hyped DC a 7/10, it got a 5, it flopped...

MC is always valid here it is for the FLOP game that is not valid.

So yeah you are losing your time on that one..

Fact is GT6 beat Forza 5 score wise which basically prove his argument wrong, and you also go by score which make you look like a hypocrite.

No, the way it is used is a pussy move. Everyone else is like 'GS scored game X like this' cows are like 'bu bu bu Metacritic'.

Also scores don't come close to telling you anything other than SWs ammo. FM5 got docked for lack of content alone (which has since changed). On every other factor it's superior, physics, ai, graphics.

On topic, I think it's ambitious to think GT7 is coming next year. I really don't think they'll have enough time to get all that car and track modelling done.
