I'm not really sure what is coming out on Nintendo Switch next year. The only games I am confident enough in releasing are Kirby and Yoshi; neither of which look particularly exciting. There are some other games though like Shin Megami Tensei V and Project Octopath Traveler that I'd like to play though.

Days Gone looks very poor. I think GoW will be great and TLoU2. Spiderman looks like its a QTE fest and FF7 remake is just a remake of a boring JRPG.

Disagree, depends on preferences, and people like me do not own a gaming PC so I dont care much for PC having superior mp titles.

Detroit looks good, as do a few other games, a nice list.....but they are all very similar: 3rd person action adventure games single player (mostly). Personally I'm excited for something fresh like Sea of thieves, seems unique....State of Decay 2 , loved the first title, 2nd one introducing coop.....id rather play that than Days Gone. Those are just my preferences, but like I said there some nice games in your list, but it is not for everyone. To each his own

Switch might have MP4, so I'll get that, but there's nothing on Xbox that I want unless they announce something next year.

I cant debate that, my point was that end of year "next year owns for my system of choice" threads are commonplace and annoying because tons of games on those lists get delayed.

Recently sold my PS4 and XB1S and went with just PS4 Pro and PC.

Thought about X1X instead of Pro but I just bought a 1080ti and I prefer to play at 60fps

Presuming the next one comes out next year and is as good, that's the only way I see PS4 taking 2018, otherwise, much like Switch stole 2017 from PS4, it will take 2018 too.

FF7, Death Stranding, and Last of Us 2 are definitely not coming out in 2018.

Nintendo's on a roll, if 3rd party support keeps rolling onto the platform and they keep making great games 2018 can be there year once again.

Another solid year for Sony. I'd be interested to see what Nintendo manages to push out to make 2018 as close as it was for 2017. If they can manage to get more 3rd party, Switch could actually edge out PS4 for system of the year.

All depends on what you like. Personally there’s really only two games there that I’m seriously interested in at the moment and that’s The Last of Us 2 and Death Stranding. I’m not all that confident on Death Stranding making it out next year though. Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy 7 remake are going to be on the Xbox One systems as well. I prefer to get all the multi platform games on the Xbox One. I’ll probably have an Xbox One X sometime next year as well. I’m looking forward to Halo 6 and Forza Horizon 4 more then anything on that list though.

TLOU2 will be an OK game like the first one, the story will be why it will be so loved.

FF7 remake ... doubt it, it could take another year or more and it will most likely to be splitted into a 3 or 4 games ... it may end being quite shit.

God Of War ... who knows but the change to the fight to make it more Uncharted like/Cinematic I'm not sure.

The rest look boring to me.

Nintendo could have a strong year if they get Metroid Prime 4 and it is good and also if they get Pokémon or Smash

@jumpaction: Fire Emblem definitely will. The other two I’m not sure about. I think one of them definitely makes it, by probably not both.

I mean, apart from Zelda, Nintendo is usually great on turn around time from announcement to release. Odyssey, Fire Emblem Warriors, Xenoblade 2, Splatoon 2, Arms and Rabbids were all announced this year. We have no clue what Nintendo will announce or has planned for 2018 apart from some place holder names.

My point is we already know way more about next year than this year and this year was astounding.

Just like TLOU2 may have a good story ( in my case it was meh ) but the gameplay must be better.

FF7 remake has potential but I doubt we will see it next year and it will be split and we all know how well it went for XIII

We're not seeing a release for the last of us 2 in 2018. A gameplay trailer at E3 perhaps. It's going to be the last big exclusive before the PS5.

Fire Emblem Warriors was little just a trailer of Chroms sword in January. 9 months later it was out.

Spiderman, God of War, Detroit, Days Gone look really bad. Well I'll give Detroit a pass cause all of David Cage's games are like this anyway but the others have way too much emphasis on cinematic experience. I want gameplay.

The Last of Us Part 2 may be great, on the other hand, Uncharted 4 was mediocre. Of course the first Last of Us followed the atrocious Uncharted 3 so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Death Stranding we know less than nothing about and I doubt it will come out in 2018.

Kingdom Hearts 3, as far as I know, will come out also for the Xbox, but not for PC. As a PS4 and PC owner I'm a bit peeved that I won't be able to play the best version of the game (the best will be on Xbox One X, unless they decide to have a surprise PC release).

I'm feeling like Sony is really dropping the ball with their first party games. PS4 has some of the best games in this generation with Bloodborne and Persona 5, but these are from third parties.

The focus on more cinematic experiences doesn't bode well in my opinion.

how much of that is REALLY coming out next year? I actually think Sony will deliberately not allow all of that to come out next year - it would fire off too much of their ammo in one cycle. Some of that is not coming out next year - either due to delayed development or Sony acting strategically. Either way, not a real list until it happens. Death Stranding... please. That's not coming out next year
