2.40 causing console problems?

I have heard rumours already that PSN update 2.40 is causing problems with PS3's, apparently a couple of members which commented on the GS news report have had difficulties booting their console up after resetting after installing the update

has anyone had any problems, I downloaded it and my PS3 has been fine (even though its only 4 days old)

Its probaly their ps3's fault.

i haven't had any problems. been playing with the 2.4 update :T
it's probably only a select few, who didn't know they reseted the ps3 before the update finished @_+

This is why I wait until you can download it of the playstation website and put it on a USB drive. Takes me 25 minutes to download, to risky.

No problems on either of my launch 60gig PS3's.

I do know that sometimes if someone BRICKS a system by not following direction's, they try to blame the manufacturer. It's honestly too early to tell.

I had a black screen for a minute and thought it bricked. It went to the install screen eventually though.Glitch321

Happened to me to. It did the same thing last update but eventually the PS3 just reset and everything was normal.
